Your still didn’t answer the question. How does the gear other people get affect you?
Unless you mean you can’t be king and lord your gear over the “casual” player.

Why not just build a progression system into each category of the game, so to speak?
Raiding has its own progression and gear to chase after through purely raiding.
Dungeon’ing has its own progression.
PVP has its own progression.
Open-world questing/mobbing/etc… can have its own progression.
And those particular sets in each category provide benefits for doing those hobbies.
What would be the complaint about that?
Another thread where someone’s mad other people are having fun.

So your 400 gear is less effective once I get a 405 piece?
Fixed it for you.
And ultimately, that’s not even accurate. The true point of the game is to make money for Blizzard. Which… us “soloers and casual players” do the most of.
Tool.
Why is casuals and soloers considers bad?
They have limited time to play or just wants to be alone Reasons.
They have every right to play wow just as much as hardcorers. So we should just outright punish them for it?
More like make make-believe
How about if the players who act like jerks to other players can’t progress?
I had more fun soloing The Lich King on my 90 Paladin, back when it was still a challenge, than I have had in any modern WoW group activity.
Then why do you want to turn it into a game you will play alone?
Everyone’s 400ilvl gear is less valuable if you get a 405 piece.
Removing Mythic would do more to combat gear inflation than removing any other content. Lower the ceiling and you lower gear inflation over-all. But you don’t want that because you’re not actually against gear inflation. It’s just a crutch you use to prop up your lame anti-casual argument.
How would you know? You don’t even really play this game. Pro tip: you can’t really hide your armory from us, and no matter what character you try to post on we can still examine your Feats of Strength.
You are a phony.
That’s not how inflation works.
You caught me. This is 100% my only account and character.
Inflations applies to any commodity or good within an economy… in this case, WoW.
It doesn’t make your character less powerful in absolute terms, no. But it DOES make your character less valuable, relative to the total population of players.
If you had to choose between two Marksmanship Hunters, and the only thing you knew about them was that one was 400ilvl, and the other was 415… you’d pick the 415.
I wonder how long Blizz will let us do this…
This only makes sense with currency. Someone else getting a 405 piece does not magically change anything about your character.
It’s funny how many people want to take content away from other people to make their fragile egos feel better.
You don’t know how inflation works. It’s just a club you use in your crusade against casuals.
So is it okay if I jump into the hardest content as soon as I hit 120?
Or do you think people would be pissed at the effect I had on the raids with subpar gear?
