How does that work? Do you need a quest? Or full clear and bam, 3 more corruption resist?
Just full clear and you’ll get the 3 resist. Blizzard made a post on this recently. I’d recommend checking it out.

You can also kill N’zoth on normal or higher to get a Malefic Core too, in addition to what others have said.

You just need to do a single 5 chest clear (without or without masks) and you will get the item in the middle chest. Then just like the previous upgrades, you just click upon it and apply it to your cloak.
Full clear and bam.
