Cant Swear in WoW Youtube videos?

Because YouTube is a fair and equal opportunity platform! Bought you by the same people who thought YouTube Heroes and Google Stadia was a good idea! /s

Absolute crap.

Cussing is fine. It’s 2021. I get forum vacations for using a cuss word.

The snowflakes are the ones catered to. Not peeps with some stamina and bad azz ness

If you’re making content for your own channel you can do whatever you want. Most rules include common sense which I won’t go into details on. Swearing, being rude and whatever nobody cares unless you’re being sponsored by someone/something. That’s the thing, sponsors, as a small youtuber you probably don’t need to worry about that. But a sponsor could very well have “rules” or they won’t want to be associated with you.

Lately you can’t swear on youtube period. Even if you make videos on mature content, have your channel marked indicating that you do not make content for children and record A/18+ games with violence, gore etc if you swear you’ll probably be demonetized and your videos will be recommended to less people. That’s why lately you see so many youtubers doing their best to not swear at all or adding beeps if they do, because for some reason even though youtube has a platform entirely dedicated to children safe content, they still think the main platform should be censored because of kids.

/Looks at the latest AVGN episode.

/Looks back at you in confusion.

No direct experience, but it’s Google/Alphabet - YouTurd basically telling you to shut, conform, and obey.

Are we just going to gloss over that literally the last thing this world needs is another wow youtuber?

If you actually want views you aren’t allowed to swear anyways. Algorithm and everything.

I didn’t know there were any

I think OP has this game mistaken for FFXIV.

idk why it would matter i mean they already showing skanky girls streaming/doing hot tub streams. yet somehow it’s still in terms of ToS so why they so uptight about swearing?

makes no sense either i mean in reality people aren’t nice anyways as long as it’s not like say bullying as i see it online a lot youtube, facebook, here, reddit, etc… why does it matter?

It follows the ESRB ratings and Teen allows language, just infrequent use of it. Problem is it’s hard to quantify that unless it’s just super blatant. Like if you are making a video in-game, get killed, and drop an F bomb, that still falls within guidelines.

Learn some new words.

I doubt this is true. Or else Asmongold content woulda been nuked lol.

Every quality youtube video needs constant swearing, I mean think of the greats who do it… Oh wait… bad example.

You can swear in YouTube videos, but I probably wouldn’t just because some people don’t care for it and I can communicate everything I want without swearing :man_shrugging:

Blizzard does not own YouTube, the rules don’t change because it’s about WoW! :+1:

With some small exceptions AKA their golden children [aka the douchebag/paul brothers] who get slaps on the wrist at most despite being legitimately toxic AF. Also if you’re some A list actor putting your finger in yet another figurative pie and those who appease the advertising company overlords. Apparently everyone else can bugger off since YouTube seems hellbent on becoming akin to television despite most television these days outside of streaming services well…sucking.

I am instantly disappointed with myself that I’ve been on the internet since it’s early days and this is the first time I’ve seen this.

I have failed me. Lol
