The instructions I’ve read online state to click the enemy cast bar and be sure it’s not attached to the nameplate, but the cast bar is totally unclickable for me. My own cast bar is easy to move around, but enemy cast bar seems seems permanently attached to the nameplate.
Is this by design, or am I missing a setting somewhere?
I used Quartz to move it where I wanted it before, but that no longer works.
Are you talking about the Target Unitframe (big thing in a fixed location on your screen) or are you talking about nameplates (bars above enemy heads)? They’re totally different things. I’m asking because Quartz let you create/move a cast bar for your current target, not for nameplates.
There’s plenty of addons that will let you move or create an additional cast bar for your target but cast bars for nameplates are always anchored to them.

Thanks. I had tried a few different addons, but none seemed to work after that last patch.
I found one that still works, though! It’s called CastBarControl if anyone else is looking.
Glad you found something that works for you! Just responding to add something for others that read this.
I’ve used Gnosis for years and it’s the most customizable cast bar addon I’ve ever used. It can be overwhelming at first with all the options available, but so worth it.
For the anchoring to nameplates, I honestly don’t know for sure if this helps with that as I’ve always used Kui Nameplates and never see cast bars on my nameplates.
