I’m just gunna keep updating what i find and attempting fixes at this point since i can’t even play remix now.
the only fix u need to try which many of us have done. is create a new email and log into a trial account without changing addons/wtf. everything worked fine for me on that new email. it is isolated to my email associated to the account stuck at Retrieving character list and all licenses associated with it. if I can get on a trial account without changing anything then it means its a blizzard issue, and the lack of response means they dont know why or how to fix it.
Did you just associate your old account with the new email, or create an entirely new account to play on?
I dont want to start over but if I can recover my characters by just updating my email thats fine, I dont care about that.
I don’t think starting over with a fresh account is a serious suggestion for a solution to this, it’s just a sign that somehow the issue is related to specific bnet accounts for some reason.
no association whatsoever as a neutral test to verify it isnt your pc or system or internet. create a new email/account (not linked to the old one) and sign into a trial account.
Answer to my ticket – Very disappointed. I appreciate the response, but i know its a canned non-answer response. Essentially, figure it out on your own, and if it doesn’t work, just wait. The dev team might read about it on the forums and try to fix it.

I appreciate the response, but what do we need to do to get them to look at our accounts? Its not an ISP issue, its not a firewall issue, I’ve tested all those, and it works fine, the only solution someone mentioned was creating a new Bnet account, but thats crazy that we just have to start over since they can’t narrow it down, I’m happy to help them, but look at my account and try using it or logging into it would be better. I’m still wondering if I change the email would work so I might try that unless its an issue with the specific account which means i’d have to transfer my toons to another account, still hoping they can actually look at this.
I can almost guarantee that they consider it low priority. I have yet to see any high profile personality have the issue (which seems to the be the only way to really get traction on issues like this these days), and out of my personal friend group and guild, I am the only one affected. Everyone else is happily playing as per usual. It seems to be a somewhat rare issue, only affecting a small percentage of accounts.
I haven’t been able to log in outside of my remix character for about an hour yesterday. Now I can’t even get to the character select screen.
Third option is wait and see what happens - customer support has said several times on their socials that their technicians are working on it actively. I definitely wouldn’t start over because you can’t log in today. Whether this experience has been frustrating enough to unsub, that’s your call.
I’m just frustrated and wish I had more insight into what actually went wrong. I’ve never had this many problems with logging into this game over the 15 years playing it. All my guild mates and friends have no problem logging in now and some did have the login issue earlier but it just vanished for them. At this point they’re gunna make me go outside and touch grass ![]()
What funny is that my guildies are telling me that all of the toons I tried to log into last night are still showing as online. That was almost 18 hours ago.
yeah lol i was like 28/31 of the characters online in my guild this morning, after not trying all night. apparently they can all be whispered and stuff too.
im getting really good at Megabonk. single developer… fun addicting game and can play it at a whim
I am having the same issue as well… at first only timerunners could be played now i cant login at all and am stuck on retreiving char list. I reinstalled wow twice and bnet client once… but classic works… this is frustrating!

I might go try this game since i can’t play wow, still stuck retrieving character list, every time i log in it asks for which server I wanna play. I did attempt a character unstuck like 3 hours ago from online wow site and none of my retail characters showed up, none of my remix either, just a couple level 1 toons which was disconcerning.
