Cant install wow because of insufficient disk space, even though i know i do have enough space

i can install anyother game on battle.net desktop app except world of warcraft… i cant seem to figure out why. i get the error that i have insufficient disk space… battle.net is in my applications folder and trying to install wow in the same folder. Any help would be appreciated!!

Even though the Finder says you have enough free space for WOW, you may not actually have as much free space on the disk as it says. Fire up Disk Utility and look at the Available Space on the drive. It will say something like “100.00 GB (60.00 GB purgeable)”. The purgeable space is not really free, it’s taken up with things like Time Machine backups, iCloud content, and iTunes streamed music & movies. Mac OS X will delete that stuff if it needs the disk space, but some install programs only look at the actual free space, not the free+purgeable space reported by Finder. In this example, the WOW installer would see you only had 40 GB of actual free space, not enough for WOW.

If that’s the case for you, then you’ll need to reduce the size of the purgeable disk space. Here are a couple links with some suggestions on how to do that:
