Can't get into ANY Mythic + dungeon as a dps

How do I get more gear when I can’t get into raids or mythic dungeons? I did one raid with a guild and got like 4 awesome pieces of gear and then they’re like, yeah we’re going to have other healers on our main raiding team. It’s hard to compete with other healers when they just blow rshams out the water in terms of overall healing

The fundamental problem with M+ is that it’s too good a gearing method, creating huge demand for the free loot.

So everyone wants to do it, and there’s only 3 spots (as opposed to the substntially more slots available to DPS per raid).

Post your own group, craft gear …

When you post your group no one kick you

The new comp is 1 tank 1 healer Aug evoker 2 dps

Hot take opinion from the forums favorite controversial opinionist! This is why we need mythic plus AI followers for dps players!

Yes i’m fully aware you guys would rather see the game shut its servers down before seeing ai followers in any difficult form of content.

You’re assuming the AI would be good enough to solo the dungeon to begin with…

Just say the average player could manage to drag their AI team through a +9

Then some good player could drag theirs through a +13

And the “top 1%” could drag theirs through +18s

Don’t they deserve better loot because they managed to do harder solo content?

Which would defeat the point of adding it in the 1st place. The main reason people request this type of feature is that they’ve chosen to play the game in a way that makes grouping harder than it actually needs to be.

That people choose to play that way and endlessly complain about the obviously foreseeable consequences of that choice isn’t the game’s fault.

Tbh your reasoning makes it sound like you’re the kind of player who forms a normal raid group and only accept people who have the achievement ahead of the curve Mythic for the same raid. While only wanting people with mythic raid ilvl for a normal raid. Then get super upset when people want a way to get into groups while avoiding the people who pull that crap.

Best solution is just to take the awful players who spoil the fun for everyone else and put everyone else in a AI group.

Also to the hilarious solution of “just make your own group” tell that to every single person complaining about augementation evokers ruining mythic plus because they can’t get a dps slot due to the evoker.

The main pug group I actually help form is a normal learning run every week, it’s just 1st come 1st serve as long as you have a minimum ilvl (currently 435 iirc), and the comp makes sense.

As it should be with the entire community, you ma’am are a good rarity. Keep up the great work.

Not every run in the pug world is going to explicitly be a learning run.

Often you’ll find people who just want to smash N/H as quickly as possible for their chance at 1 specific item, in which case they will only take the most qualified people. It’s the group leader’s choice what kind of group they want to run.

True, but in my experience and seems like the forums, its more common to find groups only accepting overqualified people. While leaving people who actually want to gear in the dust :frowning:

My GM and I tried that a couple of weeks ago, starting with a 0. She is an excellent bear tank and I was happy to play either a heals or my best dps. Eventually I went on my dps. She put up the listing and…

cricket Even for a 0, with no limitations put in and a tank already available, we waited about 10m and did not get a single application.

It apparently isn’t always an answer to do it yourself, especially if people aren’t interested in doing a 0, and that’s where you need to start.

No matter how you slice it, pug raiding is one of the least efficient ways to gear up. Only reason pug M+ is better for gear is the lack of a lockout on the dungeons, and that the only failure condition is people giving up.

That’s probably why TBH. there is minimal demands for M0s, outside of the 4xRLP groups for the M0 weekly.

You would have had much more luck skipping M0, talking to the NPC in valdrakken, and starting with a +2.

i’m in the same boat tbh, i want to get all the tier cosmetic sets from Warlock, Rogue, Shaman, and DK and they are all not geared enough to do anything more than LFR and Mythic 0. And on top of being a night shifter, i’m just out of luck.

That may be true, but people keep saying ‘do it yourself’ and if you don’t have a key you have no option but to start at 0. Otherwise you have to apply to someone else.

PS: I see your comment about the NPC. I think maybe we started at 0 to get me back into the habit of doing a starter to see how I went. Or…it could be that neither of us knew about that NPC option.

No, you can just talk to Lindormi outside seat of the aspects. Gives you a free +2 key, even if your character has never done a key before.

Dude… lol. You have very low item level.
…this post is very trollish sorry

Bull.

My highest character is around 420 and even I could do a low level M+

being able to do the content and having any chance of getting accepted are 2 very different standards.

Why on earth would you take the 435 geared player, when multiple 450-460s are applying, and you only know ilvl, score, and spec.

What I don’t understand is, why do people care so much about loot and ilevel? To impress their friends? If they had friends to impress, why would they be complaining about not being able to get into M+? Wouldn’t they all just do M+ together then?

I don’t get why people subject themselves to this kind of tedium. Just for bigger numbers in a videogame? If you aren’t having fun along the way then why even bother? It’s why I won’t even bother trying to do M+ as DPS since I don’t have friends and don’t want to invest time into making them either. All I do is unrated PVP and I have a blast in this game everyday for hours at a time cycling through my alts. Fun is what you make it.
