Can't get Conquest from TWW crates

Blizzard wants to ensure that only the Alliance can gear easily.

I’ve seen plenty of horde crate raids in Midnight. I actually love it when our raid goes up against theirs. If only the servers could handle a big fight, usually turns into a lag fest.

What do you mean? There are Horde crate raids.

It’s unfortunate that they did this but, I don’t think it’ll be that big of a deal.

Crate groups back in TWW never went to previous expansion zones and they did just fine.

I have 1 horde toon, and when i did crates, we were moppin the floor against ally raids.

What changes did Blizzard make?

War Mode crates that drop in zones from previous expansions no longer give Bloody Tokens or Conquest points, just honor.

Why were people doing crate raids in old zones. I get it if you were just solo though.

Newcomers/casuals often used it to gear up because in order to have any relevance in PvP, you need PvP gear. And if you joined halfway through a season, you’d otherwise have to fight your way through people monstrously more powerful than you are in order to get that gear. So newcomers or people with hella alts would do that instead of BG/EBG farm, which award DRAMATICALLY less conquest. Even now, unless you’re winning every arena you enter (which is unlikely if you’re not already geared), crates are still the fastest way to gear up.

Why were they in old zones, specifically? Because there are 7 total crates that dropped in The War Within, and only 5 that drop in Midnight zones. Much less competition, too. It was faster.

Due to some factions having 3 raids on the same shard. So one could farm in TWW and still be able to farm conquest without having to queue into epic premade groups.

Some wish to avoid all that sillyness but now…massive lag, limited opportunnities and players will slow down on partcipating as it is not worth it to do anything other than rated.

A very shallow thought process existed on this. They want to fix this but not the lag in their new content among many other things. This was the least imactful issue out yet they chose this.

Where have you seen 3 raids on one shard crate farming from the same faction?

He might be over exaggerating but I’ve definitely seen 60-70 people at crates lately. Maybe it’s two crate raids or maybe it’s a crate raid + the other local Alliance, but yeah, it’s a lot.

Honestly old areas shouldn’t have conquest. That’s always been the thing when new expansions hit. Gets people in the new zones.

Now I will say, I think they need to introduce assault style events where you can get conquest across Azeroth but… I wont expect much from blizz.

Agreed. The issue I was addressing is a symptom as you pointed out. Any new innovative ideas such as your comment “I think they need to introduce assault style events where you can get conquest across Azeroth” is the solution. Great idea.

Someone created the overlord addon which does that but every player has to have it and you don’t get anything. What I think may happen if it gains more attention it may force Blizz to actually do something.

No, it hasn’t. This is a new precedent. You could still get conquest from Battle for Azeroth crates until this recent change (the same change that removed Conquest from TWW crates.) This persisted from the end of Battle for Azeroth into early Midnight and was changed without any sayso from the Developers.

Troma, the developer of Overlord, worked some with Chris Kaleiki to improve the BfA assaults!

Not what I meant, they typically have the new conquest or resource to go after in the new zones, I know they allowed it last go but clearly they changed it for reasons.. just farm the new zones. It’s not hard.

No, they didn’t lol. Conquest has been the de facto PvP currency since before BFA. Please scroll up and read what I said about BFA crates also functioning as dropping Conquest all the way to Midnight. Clearly there was no change to the currencies.

Also, you’re right, farming conquest is not hard. But it USED to be easier, and was therefore more accessible.
