Looking to run the dungeon Mechagon : Junkyard solo to farm some missing pets, and every time I try and load into the instance on Mechagon it takes me to the M+ version Mechagon : Workshop. Is there another entrance or something I’m missing here?
i am fairly confident is it legit just removed from the game for the duration of the season. i wish it wasn’t, but that is how it is right now.

It’s on this month’s M+ season rotation.
As stated above, it won’t be available to farm until next season.

You can always just run the full Operation: Mechagon and stop at the 4th “Junkyard” boss.

How do you do that?
You’d have to get a group of 5 players and enter it on either m0? or m+ difficulty. Unfortunately the bfa version of the dungeon is disabled (which means no BfA heroic or m0 version) during TWW S2.
I was still farming the gold spider mount until this season hit which has completely blocked me from farming it any further until this seasons m+ ends. Stupid m+ blocking us cosmetic farmers from doing ancient content.

The bigger issue is that the entrance takes you directly to Workshop right now because of the current season. Even with a full premade prepared to run a level 80 tuned version of it, there doesn’t seem to be a way to get to the Junkyard portion.
Oh did they not do the over-ground portion of it for TWW S2? I did not know that. I vaguely recall there might be a way back. Was there not an NPC you could speak to after killing king mechagon?
You cannot do this.
That’s terrible design. The whole dungeon shouldn’t be affected by the split versions being on any seasonal rotation.

Players should not get locked out of any content due to some event / seasonal rotation - Blizzard needs to stop being cheap and lazy, and put in the effort to have the current season difficulties as toggles on the difficulty setting built into the game.
