Fun is subjective. I had fun getting mine.

Did you have fun in BfA? Or in Legion? Or in WoD? Oh yes, WoD, where they decided that if we wouldnā€™t stop complaining because they wanted to take out flight altogether, they would make us jump through illogical questing that has almost zero to do with flight to get it. Because, oddly, our mounts and our characters forget all their years of flying the moment we go into a new zone. SO logical.

Farm them? You have to kill 10. How is that farming?

Use your Silver Shardhide Whistle and you can get there faster. It literally can take you 1/4 of the way around the map at double the speed of your ground mount.

They donā€™t all pop up on the map. Get the Handy Notes Shadowlands addon to show you where they all are. Most of the smaller ones will respawn within 15 minutes or so, like The Engulfer. Mother Phestis is also up a lot. Pay attention to chat, many of them have emotes like Korthia did.

I highly recommend going after rares in clusters for anyone still trying to do this.
If you notice, certain areas of ZM have a high density of rare spawns.

SE corner has 3 super close, plus Hirukon and two more nearby.
NW corner has 3 close together.
NE corner has 5 or so relatively close.
As others mentioned, some respawn quicker than others. Some are also spawned/summoned differently like Helmix, Furidian and Zatojin. They take time to spawn and people will often skip over them unless itā€™s a Tuesday with everyone racing to fill the bar.
When it comes to rares just remember this proverb:

ā€œIf you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either oneā€

The mysteries of this land !!

Even with flying its hard to make it in time, once ping gets posted in world chat.
The safest bet would be to locate the fresh rares and make use of our new Ping to world chat options.
Donā€™t sweat it too much.

true hardcores provide an incorrect ping to distract some players while they rush to the true locationā€¦

also they mount on the longboy but dismiss the AH NPC when they go afkā€¦

( i hope thereā€™s a special place in the maw for those who do that. a place that Sylvanas canā€™t find)

Fix flying in maw also. Farming rarest there for mount a pain.
