Download fails and I get this error.
Anytime I get that error specifically, I reboot my computer. Works every time to resolve this one…not sure why, but it works for me at least

From what I read, that error is for when there’s a copy of the game is still open in the background and the bnet app can’t close it. That at least mine understanding of it.

Open your task manager. Close anything that says World of Warcraft and try again. I was reading in tech support yesterday that this fixes the issue. I was reading it because I have to reboot every time this has happened before as well. So next time I am going to try this first

This right here. I had the WoW Voice Proxy process still running somehow. Ending that process fixed the error for me.
