Do what’s fun for you. Don’t force yourself to pick and choose. None of it is going anywhere.
You probably have something like attention deficit. I’m perfectly comfortable playing solo while also engaging with current content.
We can’t make the choice for you because let’s say we convince you on retail:
- you try it a bit and feel disenchant then try classic and love it. Or vice versa.
My personal experience I’ve found most enjoyment in a social guild on Retail but I think ‘starting’ off in classic has its own perks of the story being a lot more understandable.
Classic is nothing but an inevitable wall.
Retail is forever. Play retail. Classic is dumb nostalgia fueled caca.
No rule that says you can’t play both.
I’d ride the Classic train because it’s destination is approaching sooner than later.
SoD has some longevity in it, but Cata does not. Get it while the goings good.
Play both nothing to choose.
What does this have to do with anything in my post? I didn’t even say I was running solo on any version?
Umm I don’t think that is accurate. SoD is pretty dead.
Isn’t classic on Cataclysm right now? I don’t follow how many versions of Classic there is anymore. But you should play what you truly enjoy.
It’s a difficult choice and many forum posters are constantly in conflict with themselves and everyone else that made it. The constant Yin and Yang pull for classic vs retail in this neverending battle has sparked many an argument.
You must first travel to a quiet place, perhaps a park, where you can sit and meditate on what will give you the most joy.
I find Classic more relaxing. Retail is filled with fast pace content and gogogo.
I’m enjoying Cata more than I thought I would.
