I was just thinking of the price they had throughout the legion expansion, especially the last year(broken shore and later argus). That was probably the time when the gold really started to flow. It made alts very good at generating income. Quite like in wod using the garrison but tokens were a lot cheaper back then, around 20-40k if I recall.
