Yeah that seemed to have fixed it for me too. Thought it was an addon but nope. Wonder why it does that? Seems like a weird culprit lol

very confused i turned the cooldown manger on on my first char got the cant enter world thing log on to another toon to turn it off and it not on on any of my other chars
Edit, it let me log on and it was already off by it self again

I have the same issue, just started a new character and i’m stuck on the second quest with that soft freeze too but i can see other characters move and play the game

I have the same problem. Made a BM hunter, got to level 14 and finished the quest to retrieve the real Titanstrike. Returned to Dalaran to talk to the lady about it, but when I completed the quest she still had a question mark above her head. Game froze, so I force quitted, and now it tells me that a character with the name I’ve already been playing with for a couple hours already exists. 
Character is named “Arcc” on Auchindoun.

Same issue here. Didn’t have the cooldown helper turned on. Game just stopped accepting inputs other than movement so had to exit the program. No cant get back on to the character.

Blizzard refuses to fix their game and admit that they released an unfinished product yet again for the sake of $$
Same issue.
I had turned on the cooldown manager, to check it out, but didnt like it, so I turned it back off.
Did 2 side quests, went to turn them in, and it wouldnt let me. Simply couldnt complete them. Thats when I noticed that I couldnt interact with anything. Skills didnt work. Mounts, pets, etc.
I can see NPCs and Enemies. Running right up to an enemy doesnt make them attack me. Its like im a ghost.
Cant Log out. Cant exit. Its just non-responsive. Alt-F4ing put my character into a stuck mode where I cant log back in for an extended period of time.
Basically can’t interact with options or addons at all from what I’ve gathered. If you want to enable add ons, make sure you do it all at once, have your character get stuck for 10 mins and you’ll have them on the next time you log in. Cooldown manager resets, so you cant do it with it, sadly.

What do you mean by cooldown manager resets? I have cooldown manager turned off.
Messing with any settings, in your case, turning CDM on is what caused your game to bug. I mentioned add ons because they also seem to cause the bug. What I meant by cooldown manager resets is that, if you turn it on and your game bugs, the next time you log in, it wont be enabled. Basically, avoid using it altogether.
It not worth coming to War Within same issue in main Game are they gonna fix it or wait for tomorrow to do anything i hope they fix it today I mean after decades I feel like this shouldn’t be happening

That’s why i’m baffled. It makes no sense. I didn’t even think about the cd manager. I thought I lagged and then bugged in some quest.
Wow’s code is held together with duct tape. How the hell an ui cd manager makes the server think that my character has a duplicate??? Plz someone explain me this pipeline.
I wonder if it has anything to do with that “black box” that will kill addons or whatever.

It wouldn’t be Blizzard if it actually worked like it should, expecting them to have their s/hits together is like expecting a rat to do calculus.

Looks like we’re all having the same issue. Everything became unresponsive, so I had to exit wow without properly logging out and now I can’t log back in and i get the same message

I can’t not say this is instilling a lot of trust with Blizzard with their new add-on policy in Midnight. Their poor mans version of WeakAuras doesn’t work and breaks the game. GG!

second quest for me lol keeps happening when i try to turn in the second quest to Khadgar

Still happening. Can’t turn in quests. Can’t logout. Have to force quit the game. Then I can’t use the charcters it happened on. I can’t even delete a character to make a new one since I’m at MAX characters. Can we get awknowledgement or some kind of update when this will be resloved?
