Candle Elementals, Really?

I just say elementals are just spirits who take form based on the type they are.
So like water can be mixed up into sap or some foul goo, or rock can be made out of solid stuff made from the earth.
Or bread.

Or fire Is just water is on fire

Eh. It’s a fine excuse for an interesting twist on an old enemy.

It just sounds wrong in my head.

So I can see some flame elemental possessing a giant wad of wax cause it has a ton of kindle inside.

Also I’d call em ele-candles

Warcraft has explained before elements over time mix and become diluted, these are known as Slag elementals.

So would a wax element be a water elemental that turned solid?

Not anymore ridiculous than fox people.

Do you not follow the lore at all? Lmao why are you here in this thread

This is where the citation is needed. Not your headcanon that magic is, in any way, similar to nuclear radiation because youre trying to connect your limited understanding of nuclear fallout to a fantasy version of evolution lmao

I kind of disagreed with you reflexively but tbh you have a good point.

Like could you ever see a candle or beer shaman? I couldnt lol

I also couldn’t see a bed shaman, chair shaman, or motorcycle shaman.

It’s not a matter of elementals being different depending on lore, like vampires or demons. It’s a matter of the word elemental having a meaning (which I actually think is common to what a periodic table element is, and a fantasy universe element is - it’s pure) regardless of how each universe builds on that meaning.

Well, in Warcraft, even the dragons themselves are basically evolved elementals, which is how they explain their elemental breath attacks. Unless, of course, the information in the older Warcraft Encyclopedia is completely retconned. Those retcons are one of the biggest reasons I hate trying to discuss WoW related lore. It’s inconsistent and can change year after year.

As for the candles in question, based on the pet and its attacks, I would say it’s more of a fire elemental that also manipulates what could be considered a “wax armor” body. Also, if you try to analyze it too much, “elemental” is an awkward term for the various beings. Water is a combination of elements. Same with air, and with air they include wind, but wind isn’t element based at all. Wind is created by heating and cooling. Hot and cold aren’t elements. Fire isn’t an element, either. Fire is a reaction to something else combusting. Is a Fire Elemental actually an Oxygen Elemental that is combusting?

Personally, I’m just going to not dwell on all that. It can get rather silly, rather quick.

In a world of magic where anything is possible.

A living being that calls Molten rock it’s skin is fine, but you draw the line at wax?

lmao.

Perhaps I should have clarified in that I meant fantasy nuclear radiation, as depicted by many forms of media.

Evolution is a process in which over a large span of time, a species adapts to situations and circumstances through new generations, as traits are bred out, or bred in, in future generations.

The troll to elf thing has nothing to do with this, and everything to do with a transformation borne of magic, much like a fantasy nuclear radiation mutation that you see in many movies, games, etc.

You no take candle!

I think it is a little uninspired to call everything that shares a elementals frame a elemental… that said once we had beer elementals in mop and no one cared I think we jumped the shark.

elemental is a natural substance that can be cancelled out by other elements, it’s not matter substance, water, earth, fire, wind, lighning, ice, the lore originates 35,000 years ago back when real world humans worshipped natural elements that humans feared, humans thought earthquakes happened whenever gods got angry

As someone mentioned earlier, if there were Alementals…sure, why not candlementals…lol

Beer elementals are basically Water. Wax are very clearly Fire.

Same tree, different branch.

lmao.

Foxhound has invented tree elementals, huzzah! Pan to see an Ancient
