I’m done for now. Cancelled my subscription to save some money while waiting for (hope beyond hope) a better expansion next year. This new Corrupting system is absolute crap and prevents me from even wanting to attempt playing 8.3. Yeah sure, the garbage Titanforging is gone, but in its place is another three or four RNG rolls that amplifies the worst aspect of 8.2, the Benthic Lottery, and takes it to a new level. What happened to Blizzard’s statement that they wanted gear to be easier to determine whether it is an upgrade or not in 8.0 on onwards? Players need to use MORE third party sources to determine what in the hell is going on with their gear. It’s not “exciting” to spend minutes at least to determine if the gear piece that just dropped is actually worth keeping. This obsession to keep players playing on an endless treadmill thanks to Activision’s choke-hold on Blizzard is blatantly obvious. So I’ll make it easy for you Blizzard; I’m dropping out. I don’t want to farm gear endlessly for the several thousands of combinations of Corrupted gear that will be necessary to take full of advantage of the system. Congratulations Blizzard, you are the WoW Killer you hoped to avoid so long.
It’s not even out yet…these mechanics wouldn’t be needed if people stopped trying to rush and devour content in one sitting only to complain about nothing to do once they’ve done so.

if there was a time to take a break its 8.3 the new Corrupting system is reverse titanforging.instead of getting a positive ilvl like from titanforging you get a negative Corrupting rng stat…
this is a pretty bad system im out as well until pre patch after i get zandy heritage armor and unlock vulpera but after that im out until pre patch.

You can play with the system on PTR now, dude. It’s awful and needs serious changes before going live. Right now it’s twice as bad as titanforging when it comes to RNG. The current iteration is broken as hell and will result in nothing but unfun grinds for crit damage with minimal corruption drawbacks.
The corruption level is directly correlated with the bonus the item gives. You people are freaking out over a system you dont understand.

You could stop posting on the GD forum and stick to the classic forum instead of giving traffic here? You could also show support for classic by starting to post on that character, then we’d at least know you have a level 60 that you’re playing.
