A game that has 10 million subscriptions has a LOT more players in it than a game that has less than 1 million subscriptions. Look at the game, go into where the most populated areas are. You’ll see your evidence. FFXIV had more players in it (aka subscriptions) than WoW had after WoW had placed restrictions on multiboxers. In fact, the more restrictions WoW had on multiboxers, the less players there were in the game. The first restriction was made by Brian Holinka on March 5, 2013 when he removed the /follow command from battlegrounds and didn’t tell anyone. Even the support team had to handle many opened tickets because no one other than Brian Holinka knew the /follow command removal was intentional. During that quarter, 300,000 subscriptions were lost. On Nov 3, 2020 when input broadcasting software was no longer allowed by multiboxers, the game never recovered from the loss of subscriptions. It’s been going down ever since then. Then in April 2021 (or thereabouts) when the hardware broadcasting was disallowed it even dropped more. Then the people that were satisfied of those restrictions (live streamers with lots of viewers), LEFT THE GAME OF WOW ANYWAY TO FFXIV!!! No one has an explanation that is an anti-boxer for that one! I have an explanation! It’s called lack of a player base, lack of things to do, less competition in the game because multiboxers can’t play effectively any longer. If you open your mind and realize that all of the reasons you make up don’t apply to a multiboxer because GROUPS ARE ALLOWED, you will then and ONLY then understand you are biased against competition on the game.
This is the arrogance I’m talking about. It’s so incredibly cringe and laughable.
You multiboxers exploited the system for years. YOU PLAYED YOURSELVES. You and you alone are responsible for what happened. There was a time, when running across a multiboxer was rare. After they changed how tapping worked on herb/ore nodes, it exploded. I went from seeing them maybe once a month or less, to having to deal with them EVERY day. In bgs. Farming. Questing. Everywhere. It was the middle of WoD when it just hit a tipping point for a lot of players.
Hilarious…
There is a finite amount of resources on each realm. When they capped nodes to 10, I would see boomis in groups tapping nodes constantly. To that, they flooded the market with cheap herbs that made it impossible for the average player… WITHOUT 10 accounts to compete.
But you can QQ all you want. The reality is Blizzard saw that YOU people were exploiting the game and ruining the game for other players. SO MUCH that it was actually detrimental to their bottom line. If it were still profitable and it made sense, then no change would have happened. But it did, so anything you want to say is pointless.
Multiboxing was profitable for them and now it’s not. That’s it.
The irony of that statement. It was the anti-boxers and the rhetoric spread in the anti-boxing community that made people believe something was that wasn’t. The downfall of the subscriber base was caused by these people that spread false information. Most people that don’t multibox have a bias against multiboxers that when the gaming company restricts multiboxers, the gaming company loses out as well as the entire gaming community.
Multiboxers play the game within the rules. Contrary to what most anti-boxers claim, multiboxers aren’t as effective as the same number of people that don’t multibox. But because people believe it’s the opposite due to misinformation spread, everyone loses.
No it wasn’t.
It was 40+ clown shows that got rekt and decided that they could crash a zone creating extreme game instability because feeeeeelings that got Blizzard’s attention.
All thanks to people like you.
Your misbehavior doomed you.
If you are waiting for third party input software to make a comeback, that ship has sailed and shouldn’t return.
Not all boxers use or used software. I personally don’t have an issue with the 2-5 toon guys that play nice with others. But you aren’t one of those, Prep.
Get out.
And 100 people manually farming herbs/ore are also more effective than 100 bots, doesn’t make botting ok.
You were playing the game in an unfair manner, buying power with money and making the experience miserable for others. Good riddance.
Continued lies doesn’t help your position. As already stated the anti-boxers spreading this kind of false information is what caused eventually people to believe in the lies because so much of it was spread. No videos? No evidence? See how that works? You simply state something is this way, anti-boxers come out and support these lies without any verification and eventually enough believe all of these lies.
Delusional. Blizzard isn’t reading the forums for opinions to make their final call. They are looking at data. The forums are not even 1% of the player base.
They literally weren’t. This isn’t debatable.
Live streamers constantly and vastly play games in unfair manners by drastically outnumbering their opponents. PvP guild leaders drastically outnumber their opponents by gathering many people to "gain an unfair advantage over one person playing one account that doesn’t group. The list goes on and on over the many ways that players gain an unfair advantage over one person that doesn’t group. Just because a multiboxer has an unfair advantage doesn’t mean the multiboxer should be banned if that’s the way the game is designed. Please pay attention to this statement: “ALL GROUPS IN ALL MMORPGS HAVE AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER ONE PERSON THAT DOESN’T GROUP”. This is the design of the MMORPG, this is the way it works.!
I’m purposely not going to address your first statement because it doesn’t apply to anything when you compare bots to anything. Bots don’t have a player at the keyboard therefore not allowed in any MMORPG on the planet. That’s one of the reasons automation is not allowed also.
Not wholly anti-boxing.
Just anti-software crutching through the game and throwing zone-crashing tantrums when you get beat.
anti = against. If you are spreading lies against multiboxers, you’re anti-boxer.
While maybe their final call isn’t necessarily decided by a forum post, they do read the forums and take the feedback here into consideration when it comes to decisions and going back on decisions.
How do you think Multi-boxing got axed in the first place?
All of those things that are “unfair” require multiple people. You’re trying to say that multiboxers are grouping, but it’s just them. You want to multibox? Fine with me, just no key duplication software. Pressing a button and sending 5 actions is automation.
Bye Felicia. (Tears flow as you walk away)
Yes, multiboxers are groups just like players are. The argument against multiboxers is that it’s unfair and why should one person have the power of the group (or whatever size the multiboxer is playing) - comes up in all multiboxing discussions by the anti-boxers. The reply to that invalid statement is that it doesn’t apply. It is trueful 100% that a group multiboxed is unfair against one person playing one account that doesn’t group. But so is every other group out there. All groups have an unfair advantage against the one person that isn’t groups. This is why it doesn’t make sense to make an ‘invalid’ statement. If you state something that is true but doesn’t apply, it’s invalid. It doesn’t hold weight, nothing to support the argument as to why multiboxers should be banned.
I’m not.
Here’s you and the other clownshow already mentioned in this topic
You aren’t that great. And both of you (as well as others like you) would use the same tactics of toys, pets, fireworks, etc to lag the zone out to try to get the edge. That’s causing game instability and Blizzard was correct to step in.
Don’t spead this nonsense of how you are a victim.
Saw this numerous times live in game.
Get out.
Gr8 b8 m8 I r8 it 8/8
You video doesn’t show what you’ve stated. You simply show a video of someone (the alliance boxer) using toys and flags with the intention of lagging the server and then attempting to place the blame on that lag on the person that plays legitimately.
Once again, as stated already, lies don’t help your position. You’ve produced a video that shows the exact opposite of what you’ve stated.
lol that’s neither of the participants shown
do it without your software crutch
go ahead Blizzard isn’t stopping you
run your two raids without broadcast software
you can’t and that’s why you are leaving
you aren’t playing legit because you can’t or you’d be staying not sitting here posting your malding victim impact statements
get out
You didn’t even watch the video.
That player always used those excess items and he got banned for it. He was first warned, he kept doing it, then got banned. Also the guild named Ruin Trading did the same thing on the Tichondrius server and they got warned. But they ended up stopping it where as the person in your video kept on doing it and got served with a permanent ban and doesn’t play any more.
nice sidestep crutchman
