Canada sub price increase

Lately it feels like it has been even worse. Like throughout legion when I was doing queue content to farm for lego chances I don’t at all recall seeing people from my own realm that often and the realm list had LB at high regularly. Then from around BoD onwards I would notice that I would get matched up with even people from my own guild for special events, skirmishes and random BGs. Essentially what I am saying is that before the game population felt so large that it was a slim chance of bumping shoulders from someone from “home”, now it seems like a regular occurrence. Granted alliance pop has been dying hard since guilds were downing mythic argus but still.

And still amazes me that when looking at a io score of 1932 (lowest score to have all 15s timed in s4 bfa) that EU had almost 2/3rds of representation. Like sad how people just don’t care to play anymore. And then luck would have it every time a new store mount comes out I see so many alliance riding it vs what I would see on horde. Really drives home the meme of the play for fun faction. Not to mention the overwhelming disgust you see in twitch chats when store mounts are brought up (which most of the viewerbase is EU).

? The queue system for lfd/lfr/randompvp do prioritize people whitin the same server or battlegroup to join together. Thats a thing since forever.

It goes beyond that match making blizzard has in.

No, the sub price was NOT increased. The only thing that was increased was specifically singular, separate, on their own, game time.

The recurring subscription price has been altered.

I don’t know how that site gets its data, but it still works out to a large American population relative to other individual countries. The RealmPop site made clear that through the end of 2019 NA was generated a very large number of new max-level characters as well.

As for the two-week activity and how the site determines that activity, part of that could very well be a difference in play choices. I have 11 level 50 characters, only three of which have been logged in over the last two weeks, and only one of which has been logged in this week.

I was specifying Blizzard teams and games, not all of Activision. I realize that Activision has games not made by Blizzard, and that those games make money. But Blizzard development teams can’t be pulling their weight beyond what WoW brings in.

This is a common misconception. But it’s ok, you’re American and don’t have a clue how the world works.

True.

This is a common misconception. Or another example of ignorant bigotry. It’s also ironic given the number of non-Americans who have loudly and angrily demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of how things work regarding the topic at hand.

Maybe it’s unintelligent to make blanket proclamations about massive populations.

There are plenty of studies about inferior US education levels. Ironically, you’d be benefitted by getting educated on the matter.

Nah they exposed that tax dodge and got a bunch countries on them for taxes owed back when they bragged about biggest profit yr ever and fired 800. Last I heard 11 countries were investigating the taxes. Probably going to happen in the US soon I mean -53% tax rate and a $120+ million rebate check.

I find it amusing that Blizzard is hiking up their sub fee. When we are getting less and less from them in the game. Says to me they’re bleeding subs badly and loosing lots of money atm. Employee’s sacked, budget cuts we don’t even know off. Because the game runs like a wet dish cloth atm.

It’s not as odd it looks. Many car insurance and home owners insurance companies give discounts for paying for 6 months or annually. Same with Amazon Prime. it’s $12.99 US for monthly, but $119 annually.

I guess it is odd then… when you buy six months of game time, you do get a discount. You just don’t get the same price as a subscription, because just a one time payment for game time is not viewed the same as a subscription on the balance sheet. One is a one time payment, and the other is something they can “count on” into the future. If it was like insurance… both prices would be the same.

Yes, everyone wants you to sub, because most people forgot to unsub when they stop using a product and they get a bill, then unsub lol . Not much i can do about that.

Exactly… which is why it is slimy.

I buy 6 months at a time, then right after i sub, i go in and remove auto renewal in my account.

you are so clueless its funny to read.

Subs are always going to be cheaper. It’s not a unusual model. In fact its widely use in a lot of different industries. If you are pay for game time gold, its going to be more expensive.

Gee whiz, hope that doesn’t break the Canadian guild I’m in. Nicest people I’ve ever played with.
