Then said person would have been almost certainly punished. But I don’t know the full context, and this is your word against the wind.
The person never went away, meaning they were not suspended or silenced. The person could still post pics. If you get infracted, trust level resets.
One of the clever ways to know that someone was not infracted. It’s not an isolated incident anyway. Plenty of people get away with being horrible while one person cracks a small joke and are now branded incorrectly.
This is why I miss this place back in vanilla. It was overlooked by people with continued education. These inconsistent things did not exist then.
Every server has this. It’s an official Blizzard channel, like Trade and General chats.
No, Grobbulus does not currently. It exists but nobody can use it.
Log into the server right now and you’ll see it isn’t available. Everyone is in trade chat complaining that it isn’t there.
OK, I just made a level 1 Alliance character on Grob, went to chat->Settings->Global Channels and joined LookingForGroup. Bam, there it is with people using it.
Type /join LookingForGroup . Capitalization doesn’t matter, but as distinct from /join LFG, which will only take you to (or create, if no one has yet) a private channel.
I guess people were trying to join an unofficial channel and saying it was the official one that was locked.
They aren’t actually. Manual review refers to the appeal process. Initial punishments are handed out by the automated system and are based on report thresholds.
You can get banned from any player made channel. Anyone who is on faerlina and in the “world” channel knows this as my guild and I constantly run macros that ban everyone. I’m talking thousands at a time.
People will report you and get you auto-chat locked, but you can just file a ticket and request a chat response on the website and get it lifted within 10mins or so.
You can’t get banned from a non-player channel though.
That applies to chat squelches, which are then reviewed manually.
If you get banned from a specific chat channel (Trade, Lookingforgroup, etc) does blizzard let you know, and if so, how?
Players can’t put passwords on public chat channels.
Edit: holy crap thos thread is old!
