The hybrid tax hasn’t been a thing for like 3 expansions. Things have been balanced around spec and role rather than class for a long time.

Feral is pretty much garbage, Resto has been nerfed and Boomkin is the only thing worth a crap in PvP. If a Guardian druid was in the top half of KB’s then your team had more issues than you might think.

I played a druid for my entire WoW life since 2005 and this is the first xpac I switched mains because I finally got sick of knowing my class would be hot garbage. Hell, this time around feral was just trash from the start and didn’t need nerfs since it was so bad to start off.

Leave the poor druids alone!

brambles and low aoe damage spam gets them near the top quite easily. not that it’s effective damage, but it does show up on the scoreboard.

Druids are the most gifted.
Self heals no matter spec
free get-out-of-slow button (shapeshifting)
Shapeshift at no cost
Cast spells in beast form (…okay?)
Dying? switch to bear. Boom 210k HP
Speed ability
Stealth
Instant flight
Disarm
Lots of CC
More utility than any other class or spec
and the insane boomkin damage

I love playing my firemage though and coming across a druid who thinks they are cool with such big health, trolling some lonely dps. Just throw a few Greater Pyros and watch them gun for you the rest of the match.

Absolutely,
when bm is overpowered it gets nerfed faster than sin rogue or any mage spec being overpowered ten fold.

I’ve read this quite a few times. Hunter is the only class I’ve never tried. Is is mainly the pet that gets hit?

Yea it’s dumb because survival pet does more damage than the BM pet now :disappointed_relieved:

If i remember right it was a huge nerf to the pet, like upwards of 70% for Dire Beasts, and 40%+ for the exotic pet.

That doesn’t even make sense. I thought the point of BM was to have a very strong pet. Maybe that’s why I see logs where Survival is top.

BM is fundamentally busted thats why it gets nerf you just sicc your pet on someone and then you can run around a pillar and just let your pet kill people you dont even need to use your abilities. When most of your dmg comes from the hunter attacks and not just and your pet then it wont be such a silly spec.

I know that is sucks having a undertuned spec but you gotta know how bad it feels to just lose to a pet when the hunter is who knows where.

It was a skewed line of logic from the beginning. Hybrid tax is long dead and we should all still be celebrating that, not demanding it’s resurgence.

It is the point.
and bm takes more skill than sin rogue to play at a “good to greatish” level.
but because its a pet, well god forbid people have to think of a strange way to counter the class, they should just have to fight straight up meele fights 100% of the time.

most bm damage comes from the bm himself…autoshot, barrage, kill command, cobra shot, incendiary ammunition, the dire beasts, crows.

all the pet does is autoattack and bite. nothing else. kill command comes straight from the bm. barbed shots also needs to be used by the hunter for the pet to do more damage than a a boomkins dot.

all dot classes do more damage behind a pillar than a bm ever will. nobody seems to be complaining about aff lock…
