Yeah man that’s killing some immersion. Somethings are just wrong across wow, Like in Waking Shore (Dragonflight) we can fish and swim in lava?..(why?)…
Umm… kill the tank? Use the Valdrakken AH? Those are options right there.
We used to be able to buff city guards. It was part of the strategy when cities were attacked, back before social media messaging killed city raids.
Pvp problem has pvp solution really. If people won’t help kill them, try making a LFG to help kill them.
Plus multiple other AH to use. Tho I do agree the guards fall over to a breeze.
What are you doing spending more than what it takes to post up an auction or two and go, if you’re browsing for items then use the app and browse and purchase what you want that way. No bothersome attacks on the AH in the app
Spend less time loitering at bank and Auction House and more time training. This is the way.
Not gonna lie, I had a funny death to an attacker in Stormwind once.
Was at the mailbox on a lowbie who had wm on.
Suddenly I’m dead so I’m just going 
Look at my logs and they had used some engi item to drop on me and kill me. I laughed and got my main.
I agree the city guards should be buffed enough that a solo-attacking player should struggle.
The way it is now, the guards mean nothing, even to someone who isn’t PvP geared.
I’m not saying each guard has to be a raid boss, but they could get enough of a buff to matter and give them the ‘smart NPC’ AI.
This isn’t a dead realm thing, it’s an any realm thing. They gather up as many NPCs as they can then orbit towards The Stockade/Ragefire Chasm where they continue to cause mischief until people organize to stop them.
At which point they slip into the zone and begin the cycle again. It’s tedious and once you’ve seen it enough times you stop responding because you know it’s a goose chase.
I hate to say this but I am gonna.
Make a Garrison. You can have a bank and a AH in it and no one can go there unless you invite them. It will take some time but building it is fun.

There are two other auction houses in Orgrimmar.
The fact that he’s claiming that this is constantly happening on a dead realm but refuses to tell us which realm it is supposedly on makes it sound like fiction. Where are these overgeared tanks coming from on a realm that doesn’t have enough players to support raiding guilds?

Guards don’t need to one-shot people to be dangerous.
Take the guards in the areas of the Dragon Isles that pop up if you engage in PvP in one of the neutral areas for example. They aren’t immediately life threatening but each one spams stuns and roots and when you get more than one going, you end up sitting in a lot of CC just from the NPCs which would, in turn, make it much easier for a player to kill them.

Many options, including ones that can be accessed by lowbies. Can also slap engi at level one for the respective zones for engi only access.

Well get to max level? It shouldn’t take long.
If it’s laggy for you, that is probably a PC issue.
Also there are other AH that are available.
I’m inclined to agree. What’s the purpose of griefing an empty city? And even Stormwind has a second auction house. 
This kind of stuff is usually a symptom of a patch that’s grown old enough that people are off looking to make their own fun.
Besides, one of those auctioneers is a plant for The Burning Legion. He’s doing the Light’s work! Wake up, sheeple

Get your AH up and running in your garrison.
its pretty cheap now with the AH changes…was anyway.
you only need a level 2 garrison (I could have saved myself 5k on a list of characters had I paid attention to that detail, lol).
They cant bother you AND you have a hearthstone to your own personal AH every 20 minutes.

I think there is an Eng only AH bot…and then I saw another one that seemed like it might be for everyone.
Not sure why bliz is stingy with the AH NPCs.
