Can we up the drop rate of older Mounts etc?

Can we up the drop rate of older Mounts etc ? At least a little??? Been trying to get Ashes of Al’ar since 2006…

If they up the drop rate then you’ll get the mount and leave.

This is why they keep it low, so that you suffer. It’s like hotel California. You can never leave!!!

I really think the drop rate should increase by 1% every kill, account wide for these mounts. I don’t mind investing time to get drops, but there are so many that the time to collect is getting overwhelming.

Should lower them tbh, shoulda got them before

At least they’re account wide. Can throw many alts at it.

That’s why I said at least the older ones they can keep us chasing some of the not so old ones.

This mount I seem have difficulty getting as well, they did bump up the chances for older mounts a bit.

I’ve gotten some of the others I don’t mind the farming I can shoot 3 birds with one stone.

Trying to get the mounts, mogs and pets, there is good gold accumulation during the process from some old raids.

What does this actually mean? Have you farmed it every single week? If not, how many? How many alts? How many total runs across your entire account?

The mount is a 1.7% drop rate. It’s not ultra-rare by any stretch of the imagination. You can buy it off the BMAH too if you’re so inclined.

I’ve been going in there since 2006 wdym should’ve got them before?

Increasing it a little bit would be nice. I’m okay if they don’t either. But I definitely don’t care about the peanut galleries opinion on why they should/shouldn’t. usually stems from I got mine… Suffer. Or Everyone’s going to quit now because they can’t get it.

Same old stories. That’s usually the kind of people threads like this attract

It means I went there frequently with several characters since 2006ish

jokes on them i barely farm mounts anymore since its a waste of time. its not like im going to get them and some mounts ive been farming for so long that sense of accomplishment will not be there. all that will happen is i got 5 sec of being happy its finally over and then think thank god i dont have to run this anymore. once a mount takes years to farm i no longer feel joy tied to getting it just a sense of relief that i dont have to farm for it anymore. thats 1 of the main things i miss about ff14. the worst that would happen is i do 99 runs to get a mount compared to wow and its hundreds of runs

I’m not going to quit over it but it doesn’t feel great to have such a low chance of getting it. At this point it’ll feel like a painful thorn being removed more than a reward if it does finally drop.

Shoulda been going since 2005

I just accept that although I have 400ish mounts, I probably only actually ever use a handful of them.

I’ve had Ashes for many years, I stopped thinking about it more or less as soon as it dropped.

That wasn’t directed at you, just the types of people these threads bring out of the woodwork.

After all the timewalking events we just had, with 2000ish attempts, still no Infinite drake. I just don’t see how this is reasonable.

1% stacking bad luck protection really isn’t asking for much.

Cant be. He stabbed it with his Steely knives and the beast died.

Feels bad man I got Al’ar like my second time in there a decade ago.

From invincible to the ram, I always feel bad for players who obviously tried hard and I can’t stand when people make excuses for this extremely outdated lootbox type of reward system.

I got invincible casually, never ran more than 5 characters a week and even then I did those sprees like maybe 7-8 times over my 15 years playing. Ram dropped the same, casually.

There is no “earning” these mounts and they really should just add a percent for every kill, I’d love if everyone playing the game genuinely had a better way of getting the things they want.
