Flagged isn’t the issue. Sanctioned is where you lose it.

when i wanted TL3 thats what i did too, found a large thread, clicked in middle mouse button, told it to slowly scroll down and went afk
I have since lost TL3, told someone off and got a temp forum ban for a couple days… i can never get TL3 again… worth it though.
This is the only one i have to disagree with, considering Blizzard pretty much fine with people to mass flag even reasonable stuff or use it as a dislike button, and it’s all excused with “There’s no false flagging”. This is esp true given some people will pushback on the feedback or would think you’re wrong or got wrong information or etc. Which would indirectly discourage discussion.
Forum penalites should stay as forum penalites.

They definitely, definitely, DEFINITELY do not. Between people using reportings as a downvote button and “do the needful” off-shored moderation. I hope you step on a lego or stub your toe as penance for this garbage take.

I’ve lost and earned back TL3 three times now. Once for saying something I shouldn’t have. another for being locked out of this avatar for a month due to forum shenanigans, and another for taking a 6 month hiatus.

The Trust Level system is egregious in all honesty. Blizzard really needs to revamp the system and deal with the trolls if they want more engagement here and not just on their discord.
No, that should never be the case.
I got punished on the forums and got hammered in game to. It does happen they got me twice.

I should have been clearer. I do agree with you. Severe penalties should apply imo. Really bad stuff.

Oh yea, def. Like IRL threats, dox threats and other heinous stuff. And i mean REALLY heinous stuff. The kind that gets the FBI involved.
“Trust Levels” in and of themselves are insulting and now that so many don’t bother coming to these forums anymore, I don’t see the sense in bothering with any of it myself.
Not for the same reason for sure. They don’t suspend you in game for forums actions.
The whole trust level thing feels like it was created on Opposite Day. It should be trust level 3 until you are reported for troll posts and you lose trust which you could possibly gain back over time.

I usually just keep up with the Personal Loot vs Group Loot threads and that has been enough to easily clear the TL3 threshold.
With MoP Remix though it’s been really quiet on that front…maybe I stand to lose it?

It was for the same thing . I wasn’t even playing when I got in trouble here. Decided to log in bam. They do as the please and I’m sure I ain’t the only one they did it to.
I’ve had a few posts deleted for “trolling” but my trust level remained. So I think they do actually consider intent of a post, even if it is found to be upsetting people.

I’ve accepted I’ll probably never make trust level 3. It’s ironically one of the bigger grinds of wow.
Yeah, I think if they delete a post, it doesn’t mean anything unless they also apply an actual penalty to your account. Post deleted but you didn’t get a silence of any kind? Probably in the clear.
Yep, the forum requirements to simply post links/images are ridiculous. I’ve seen people say it’s the fault of the company that manages the forum software, but isn’t activision/microsoft in charge of dealing with their own contractor?
Anyway, there’s no way I’m going to live on any forum and/or take actions that aren’t genuine (likes, etc.) just to have some lame ‘trust level.’ When I see posters who apparently do have that trust level they post nothing any ‘better’ than anyone else.
