ESO here and I have no issues.
Good to be around still! From the CST connection we just did a ping check with retail Pacific realms and it seemed to be okay. My ping maxed out just shy under 60 ms. If you choose the PvP realm I hope the best for you. Glad you’re still around
Where are you located and where is the data server located?
Edit: They are located in Texas. A centralized location. Hardly Los Angeles.
I hope you are a new kid coming in to try Classic. Because if you are an adult this is embarrassing.
That stinks for both players from Newfoundland.
Lotta people having trouble grasping the concept of time zones. “Prime Time” is about the same time everywhere, except prime time is happening 3 hours LATER in one place. It’s Prime Time in Moscow as I type this, but I’m not online because it isn’t for me.
Are you named after a premium beer from the land of sky blue waters?
My complaint is the server name, not its timezone. >.<
Now there is a valid complaint!
Go create a toon on a PST server and see how it plays.
This is 2019, not 2004. Technology has advanced in 15 years.
Heck I played ESO on their EU server with not much lag.
Where is Northdale hosted ? I have no clue but had no issues there.
I’m in SC .
You know I’ve never tried that beer. Had a few Schlitz in my time. Never a Hamms.
Schlitz: “Just a kiss of the hops.”
70 ping difference is huge in PvP. I guess the only hope is next week, if they see the servers getting flooded with registration perhaps they will add new ones.
I guess that question is do you PVP? If you do, you’ll see a difference. If you don’t, you probably won’t.
So with CRZ/sharding in retail how are you not affected by that difference ?
Northern France. Be careful posting about private servers on WoW forums. I think it’s a TOS violation.
What difference do you see in retail ?
When you get CRZ’d to another server how do you know what server and what timezone and what ping ?
The RPPvP and rppve should of been on CST. Since there is only two.
I was under the impression you didn’t CRZ into another Datacenter on the fly.
You know you’re on the Blizzard forums when people get what they wanted and they still complain, cry, and act like their puppies were stolen.
CST would be ideal, but we’ll work with what we have. It’s no big deal honestly, EST or PST CST etc. Just roll on it if you want RP-PVP some guilds will be EST and do whatever some will not be, i myself am east coast and will roll on there with at least 24 others from the Tri-state area.
also note that there isn’t a SINGLE CST server, which i find odd myself.
I don’t know the details.
But they did collapse the datacenters to 2 around 2014 give or take.
