I mean an affix is an affix. Everyone needs to do their part for the key to be successful. Sucks to heal, idk.
Itâs pretty rad that he could wield 4 lightsabers at once and fight off a ton of people at the same time. He was a little wimpy in Revenge of the Sith, but the Clone Wars explains why and really fleshed him out as a character. Plus he has some really good meme power.
It needs to be nerfed, its by far the worst affix atm by difficulty at high levels and its a nightmare for pugging. the fact its % based and can scale so badly so quickly should start at 80% and drop when out of combat.
Actually, surprisingly, no. It was rendered non-canon the moment Lucasfilm Animation produced the 3D clone wars series, and that was ages before Disney got involved.
Every affix is the responsibility of the entire group to perform in a way that minimizes the chance of dying.
Pinning it on the healer is a tactic of scrubs in pugs.
I feel that for SL they should revamp the affixed such at:
Affix 4 - only affects trash
Affix 7 - effects trash and boss globally
Would need to move some around and make new combos but then every week you know you would get a trash only one (example bolstering) and a global affix (day quaking).
IMO they could also adjust the scaling such that a +10 is the same as a current 15 and make it simple.
2 - Fort/tyrannical
4 - trash affix
6 - global affix
8 - seasonal affix
10 - max reward
Personally as a MW it didnt bug me much cause MW has naturally high through put and as long as I stayed on top of it (blowing through mana like crazy) it wasnt bad.
I have yet to do this as Hpal which is my main now. I cant imagine doing this as Disco⊠Forget that noise.
Really? Itâs super easy⊠Run the flash heal increase essence and thatâs 2 guaranteed 100k heals on the target. Swap Beacon on them if youâre struggling.
And any time wings is up thatâs easy mode.
I find it better than bursting at least. Bursting is always a catch up game for disc, is uncontrolled in pugs, and is always aoe damage.
Grievous is something that requires more maintenance, so classes that have more ability to maintain themselves such as a good tank or hybrids are really useful and makes a big difference.
Despite the positives of grievous, it just feels like another constantly cycling healer affix that is focused around healing output or hps, which lets some specs do well and others that are more utility based like disc struggle and declined simply for spec.
Grievous is one of my favorite characters right after R2D2 and Boba Fett.
Isnât it Sanguine + Grievous in 2 weeks? I hope I get nothing but Waycrest keys.
Aw okay. Gotcha!
I expected someone with your reputation to be olderâŠ
The same People that put wayyyyyyy too much blame on healers are usually the same people that do not bring health potions or food.
Nice Chat.

This comment is beyond ridiculous.
Omg I just realized I havenât been using beacon at allâŠ
I use Netherwalk for Grievous weeks. That five seconds of damage immunity may reduce my damage output, but it gives my healer a chance to top me off without the debuff ticking away at me.
I donât know if they appreciate it since I mostly pug, but itâs certainly helped keep me alive.

Every affix is a healer affix
Sort of. However, the affixes are for the whole group. Still, they could maybe add affixes that donât deal with our health bars but maybe other mechanics. Of course, if there was a stun mechanic (just as an example) for an affix if DPS donât do something specific then players would rage more.
So what affixes could they introduce that donât just do damage?

The end result of anything they add is going to be loss of HP. Death is the failure condition, so barring some stacking debuff that insta-kills you (which I would personally loathe with a fiery passion that dwarfs even the mightiest of stars), pretty much every negative effect of an affix must by definition deal damage to players in some way or another, else thereâs no failure condition and the affix is pointless.
I donât think every mechanic has to do with HP though. Like CC (fears from little adds) and even the thing in visions that tosses you around.
