The “get in your face” part is what is the difference between a conversation and a narrative. You cant shove things down peoples throats and expect instant change. Progress happens over time. Societal norms do not change overnight.

They tried the calm approach for generations, it doesn’t work. If people can just ignore it and go about their lives nothing will change. Most of the major gains for human rights came with huge in your face uprisings.

I just wanted to add a comment to that, that I think what they should have done is got rid of the police that don’t deserve to be police officers, but they shouldn’t have defunded the whole police department, as that’s crazy talk. As without any police going on, unfortunately violent criminals will run rampant, and your only way to protect yourself is with a gun, and the black communities will suffer the most without police to protect them.

It is important we debate the racism in society not just against black people, but also Mexicans, Asians, Muslims and so on.
The problem with deleting the police force entirely is that only option is to bring in the military, which is even worse against black people.
We need a non-violent revolution like Martin Luther King said.

That argument is flawed, as a lion is not the same animal as a tiger. They are two different species.
Also different breeds of horses herd together.

Different groups, races, religion should be in their own sandboxes … people are naive thinking words or violence will change nature itself…
Also there in the same family animal wise all felines are in the same gene pool…
Okay the fact is that whether you Asian, African, white or whatever else, you are part of the same gene pool as white people can breed with African/Asian etc, so we are the SAME species, the same gene pool.
That’s incorrect you can deny this all you want but the races are environment effects on evolution of the species which changes the Genes… yes all might be humans but they are humans with different codes pigments and other differences not just the skin but body as a whole is different …
Denial of the genetic differences between all humans is what leads that conflicts accept it and do what we should have kept from anicent times
The only real fix is we build dome like environment splitting all ppl by group,religion etc then peace can happan but all must be treated with kindness and respect in the same way and create trade spots between them …

This is a pointless argument to me. It literally means nothing its just a linguistic argument.
Oh well, whatever happens with the political stuff is meant to be. Defunding the police sucks but on the bright side considering that police are required to enforce court orders, and given that most problems in Trump’s presidency has been with the courts, people should be careful what they wish for I guess.
So all’s well that ends well.
Guess you hurt some cops’ feelings. If only they cared about the lives of the citizens they’re supposed to be protecting as they do about all of their own.
