Can we speed up drinking a bit?

Even if it’s just for Mages since we tend to have the largest mana pools. Because I swear I spend more time drinking than actually playing, especially in dungeons. Right now at 33 I’ve got ~3400 mana, but the level 25 water only restores 1344…over 27 seconds. A full ~25 seconds of sitting and drinking doesn’t even get me to full mana.

From 0%, the full duration of level 25 water only gets me to about 60% mana. Sitting and drinking all the time isn’t fun. Yeah, I don’t want retail where mana doesn’t matter, but I also don’t want to spend the majority of my time in dungeons lagging behind the group because drinks restore a pitiful amount of mana.

Agreed.

When we’re killing trash it’s wand time.

Plays a drinking simulator, complains about drinking taking too long. Little did he know, drinking was the main attraction of mage to begin with.

Everything dies so fast its not even worth casting on trash anyways.

Stop trying to make SoD easier.

10 seconds is a bit fast; I’d say about 20 seconds to restore 100% mana would be fine. That works out to 5% mana per second, which is just a bit faster than the seasonal/holiday foods that have a similar effect. (4% mana per second)

…hell, why not just make those kinds of foods available year-round but for a higher price? I would gladly throw down more gold to be able to spend less time drinking and more time playing.

Mages should have a book that increases the benefit of consuming their created food by 100%. It’s logical.

This is really becoming a huge issue in the game and will only get worse. My priest has 4.6k mana in raid and the water restores 1992 over 30s. Add on spirit regen and im already at over 45s to fully drink.

The increased gear levels at 50 will up this time again, same at 60. Full bis 60 mana pools will need to have a /break 5 to drink up.

Except just like everything else in classic nothing is actually hard. There’s nothing difficult about sitting there and drinking.

Frost spec sucks balls, so you’re running fire, and there are more spells you’re casting from runes etc. you blow through mana way faster as a leveling mage that you ever did before, so the ask is reasonable

Trash dies fast because of the mage >>

Does your gnomer have fire mages?

Not without mages spending a lot of mana it doesn’t. Only warlocks and Spriests come close on AOE damage but still nowhere near the max potential of mage AoE.

i mean some of the battle grounds and pugs have greatly increased my drinking.

With the changes to some runes. You get 3 living bombs and 1 living flame per trash pack. Than I’m wanding. Still solid aoe for only 400-500 mana used.

Constantly having to beg tanks and DPS on my Druid to let me drink. They pull 8+ mobs and I have 1/3 my mana bar after drinking for a solid 10 seconds. Druid heals aren’t cheap, and big pulls really require us to have full mana since we don’t mitigate any damage dealt at all.

I wouldnt be upset with having better water… because man i have zero mana on trash… its so annoying.

try getting spirit gear :expressionless:

managing your mana well is the difficult part. hope this helps :expressionless:
