Can we skip Torghast if we have max leggo?

I have my leggo at 235. Was wondering, is there a reason to do torghast other than just stock pilling soul ash? thanks!

Other than the reason you’ve given, no.

I’d do the one run for weekly progress or a second of the other for ash and be done with them.

Keep in mind in 9.1, and presumably 9.2, 9.3 etc they’re going to need to introduce higher item level base vessels so our leggos keep up with item level creep. Make sure before the tier ends, you cap your soul ash for the inevitable upgrade process.

hmm but knowing blizzard wouldnt they just introduce like some more powerful version of soul ash? they always do that to prevent us from stock pilling. idk. or worse they can just reset it in exchange for gold. oh yikes

I’m pretty sure they won’t let us bank soul ash and just max our legendaries immediately next patch. They’ll either reset the currency or increase the cost ten fold while also increasing the drop accordingly, like they did with residuum. Issue would be if a legendary gets buffed or nerfed and u have to start all over again. So I’v kept a personal target of just doing 2 level 6’s a week to get around 1k ash/week and get as many as I can to 235. At least the ones which have potential.

I really wish we knew what the future holds. Will next patch give us the ability to equip two legendaries? I imagine there will be away to upgrade it further but will it still use soulash. Also will Blizzard do like they like to do with PVP currency and reset it on us?

I am where your at. I have my lego maxed and I hate choreghast. Should I even bother running it now?

Yes that’s a perfect example. Remember what they did in BFA with residium? ugh! yah imma just skip choreghast

Until 9.1 where the ilvl goes up…start saving up those soul ash or you’ll be dreading it. Having that 10k or 20k ready to level it will come in handy day 1 of 9.1. Also there’s a chance of a 2nd legendary.

Yes. The main storyline is gated by it.

I’ll bet you they don’t let us do that.

How much?
Let’s say 25k gold!
I’ll bookmark this post, for posterity.

Personally I would think they add something to the runecarving crafting side, which won’t be abundant when 9.1 starts – to timegate players.

In BFA, all you needed was TR to get a new piece, so it makes sense they reset it. But with leggos its soul ash and the crafted item, missives, etc. Doesn’t make sense that they only wipe the soul ash and not also make the other parts of this a pain for players.

The 2 best options would be either getting as many as possible to 235 before 9.1 or saving up enough to further upgrade ur chosen leggo if it doesn’t get nerfed. Normally blizz will tell us in advance what they plan to do with the currency letting us spend it before its value diminishes. Either way, better to have as much of the currency banked up as possible even if you spend it just before (if its getting devalued) or after (of it isn’t) 9.1. My suggestion would be to find a level you feel you can breeze through quickly and at least keep doing that every week.

If it’s anything like residuum, they’ll multiply it by 10x. So a 5k upgrade might cost 50k (50 weeks). There is going to be no point saving it for that, guaranteed. There’d be too many people complaining about turbo players getting immediate upgrades.

Just use it to upgrade the ones you want, bank enough to be able to get one to rank 4+, that sorta thing.

You will most likely be able to wear more than one in the future here, so may have to build up another even if you only do a single spec or content.

There are also niche legendaries you can make for Torghast but if you hate the content I suppose you wouldn’t need to consider any of those, haha~

Soul Ash caps at 8000. But yeah, the price will probably be higher and the cap will rise.

If they nerf your BiS lego, or if you want to run a second spec that needs its own lego, you’ll want to have some ash on hand.

They will either hard reset ash and give you a pittance of silver for your effort, or soft reset it by making each new tier of legendaries cost ten times as much ash to craft, so that by the time the sixth season is out, you’ll need five billion soul ash (Zanka no Tachi… South :fire: :skull: :fire:) to craft a rank 24 item.

I wasn’t implying that having 8000 banked for the next generation of legendaries would get players a new one right away. But having 8000 banked if the new ones cost 15k to make, is better than having 0 banked and needing 15k to make the new one.

But its Blizzard so you never know, they might wipe it just to spite us.

I honestly expect Ion to think its a good idea to reset soul ash to zero with each patch.

the ash required will probably go up 10x so anything you can farm and bank will be a drop in the pail, Blizz has never let us build up currency that carries over from one patch/raid tier to another
