There you see, peace between the Forsaken and the living is completely possible. We just need a little more mutual trust and understanding on both sides.
Forsaken are really just eco-friendly. Scarfing down the dead, maggot-ridden corpses of the formerly living is really just a form of recycling. It shows we care.
I see no reason for Forsaken to leave Orgrimmar. They have a never ending supply of food. They have no political or philosophical differences with their Horde brethren whatsoever, so that’s certainly a good thing (thanks Tink Tink).
And what right-minded Night Elf wouldn’t want to forge the future of their race in the middle of the Human-centric, Anduin-centric, stone walled city. I mean, we would hardly want the Night Elves to have any sort of disagreement with Lord God Anduin. Any Night Elf who disagrees with the Blue Human Paladin Stormwind world view should rightfully be executed (and sent to Orgrimmar for “recycling”)
No matter how horrible the writing, we can’t retcon the events of this war, no matter how tragic. We can only go forward and use the events to remind blizzard of their failure and their sin.
Pass. Its good they happened, its good Blizzard is willing to destroy something in the game. Its good they are willing to kill named NPC’s.
Bad things happen in stories, just undoing it because it upsets you is bad. Its suppose to be upsetting to people, that’s the point of a good narrative.
Besides, you can still access both areas pre-destruction through Bronze Dragon NPC’s.
At first i misread this as Dalaran and thought to myself, “You know what, there is getting to be too many large holes in the Northern part of the Eastern Kingdoms.”
It was in one of his tweets but it kinda tedious to look for it. Suffice to say we already have a template of how Blizzard does things. Exhibit A, Stormwind Park. How many expansion before it got repair? And when it did it was actually new addition for the Alliance.
We will always need new questing Hubs(like Dalaran). I expect the expansion after SL or maybe the one after that will be when they add a new capital.
Edit, Found it, it was apperenlty an interview:
“Finding a new home for the Night Elves and Forsaken isn’t a great fit for the Shadowlands but they know that it’s unresolved and it will be addressed in the future and they are already thinking of ideas.”
Yeah but since signs are brewing tyrande is being canned one way or the other that leaves us with no real voice to get stuff fixed. retcon we’d at least have a home really.
the sentinel general if tyrande exits stage right, forever in some way? She gives a real sell out vibe to me. When so many alliance lackeys in charge like her so much…yeah, she is not the one to be going “hell no this is some BS you all!”
She’d have done it by now to also be on the do not call list like Malfurion and Tyrande.
Mostly she goes yes sir. May I have ketchup with this crap sandwhich. No? Okay…
I think we are going to just advance 20-40 years into the future. Middle aged anduin with a kid with Taelia Fordragon maybe.
Probably a “new cata” since this will be 10.0 that’s a huge mile marker. New cities, restored cities, expanded all over. New night elf world tree and us exploring all that has changed. I doubt it will be ALL of the zones but a lot.
they’ve been hinting at time lapses after all while we are in shadowlands.
I just hope we can kill Slyvanas or something. I don’t want her redeemed or anything or justification for what she did like “suddenly she makes him cough up all the dead night elves and now, they turned into faun! they are alive again! see guys I am good! they are all super powerful!”
I agree. All that happened were Mag’har and Gul’dan. Felt like a weird excuse to have brown orcs playable. Unless yrel becomes an enemy later for us with lightbound as a allied race too, it could’ve been easily deleted.
