No it shouldn’t, shards collapse, merge and open constantly, your bonus would be changing so often that you’d start a quest with 25% and end up turning it in for 5% 10 minutes later, not worth the risk of delayed questing time and ganks if it’s that low versus what you “signed up for” when you accepted the quest prior.
You know, back before Warmode became optional, I remember my once fairly balanced PVP server that I’d been on for 7 years ended up mostly Horde and it made doing anything at all miserable, because of the giant packs of PVPers roaming around, ganking anyone in sight.
People on my server who were having trouble were told to find another server and reroll all of their characters, or pay to transfer, because “PVP happened on a PVP server.”
Be grateful you have a toggle.
I remember using Warmode and being camped endlessly trying to get to a safe spot to turn it off.
Yeah no sympathy from me. Horde has always had more people in Warmode, and I’ve found that normally from personal experience in a 1v1 they suck at PvP however you’re rarely ever fighting 1 you’re fighting like 5.
Then when they kill you they camp you and laugh and spit on you because majority of them are scum.
But it’s warmode turn it off and you don’t gotta deal with it, quit whining because you’re not getting a free bonus now.

No you’re not. You’re doing the same thing you’ve done since the bonus was added. You just make a murderball until you’re done farming, then turn warmode off again.
Apparently a hotfix was done to fix this making you unable to be attacked when entering the Maw/leaving Van’ari’s hollow.
To be fair, doesn’t that just show that there isn’t a population imbalance and that is was a participation imbalance all along and that the Alliance complaints were unjustified from the start?
Noone should have ever gotten a bonus in my opinion. If anything it promotes the dominant faction to increase its population more than it does the minority faction to increase theirs.
I mean what sane person actually “enjoys” playing as alliance? I play them on classic for the sheer fact that my private server guild decided to roll alliance and won’t be making the same mistake come TBC. I played alliance from vanilla through wrath and i’d never go back on retail lmao. I’ve always been the “nice” person leaving alliance alone when there WAS tons horde around but i’ll make sure to take full advantage of crushing their spirits come TBC. Spit and laugh macro free of charge

If that’s a problem, then perhaps there shouldn’t be a warmode bonus, kind of like how people on PvP realms never had an arbitrary bonus for “taking a risk” during the 10+ years they stuck with it.
Hard agree with this. Or just lower or it make it an even 15% each. Leveling my horde, I see no horde players with war mode on, and get constantly yanked by frostmourne Hunting parties.
Leveling on my alliance I see so many alliance and hardly any horde. Make it a server thing and not a global thing.
There wasn’t at first, but then the Horde took to their usual favorite pastime of crying about everything not always being in their favor and said “WE’RE ALONE THERE’S NO PVP ALLIANCE NEVER TURN IT ON” and hence it was added to make that happen. Take the bonus away and you’ll be crying about that yet again.

People do plenty of whining on either side, hell, most people have characters on both sides nowadays, but do go on with your overgeneralizing.
