Atm every dps and tank pvp spec has a slow or root at 80 percent or higher uptime.
They should really just normalize standard movement speed ( no speed up talents or enchants) and lower the amount of teleportations at this point.
But if a mage cant blink 22 times in 30 seconds are they really even a mage might as well feed them to the bm hunters
Its funny because anything over 3x in 24 is obviously not a blink. They need to bring back the animation and sound effect for it so people can instantly tell when someone is just Positional hacking away without using a addon to track cooldowns on enemies.
I definitely think they need to look at slows /roots base movement speed in the game

This bc it’s the most sensible answer to the entire complaint. Force people to make effort to CC others, being slow bc a specific class type is within 10 yards of you is not fun. And people slowing via instant cast rotational abilities isn’t much better.
The only justification for any slow above 50% is favoritism. Pure and simple. Snares shoud ALL be the same percentage. None of this “i won at character creation” lopsided .
But then, Retail itself has been a broken mess in PvP for literal decades. Just a rotating spotlight of whos broken and who isnt, with permanent lights on Rogues Priests and Mages accompanied by a brutal, unforgiving murderhammer ready to crush anyone thats a threat to those three.
Reminds me of when I started doing arena alllll the way back in wrath. I could not get used to using hamstring on a target. The better dps would just walk away from me. I tried making some cast sequence macros to charge > hamstring or some combination. Never worked of course, but that’s what made pvp… pvp. Having to think about what you were doing and maintain slows on a target.
I keep saying it, but it’s so weird to me that when exotic munitions / frozen ammo was a thing, everyone was losing their minds. I get the game and mobility is different now, but one of the big complaints was just being slowed the entire game AND that 0 thought was put into it. Now there are better slows and they are just a part of your damage rotation. Crazy how far we have come from that.

Class pruning was bad there is no denying it and no . Current gsme balance doesnt require pruning.
Slows are not an issue so long as your gap closers warrant you uptime.
Dks slowing a team is what dks do. Rogues on the other hand shouldnt have such capabilities. Pull back on this nonsense on specs that dont deserve these tools and we are good.
Trainning wheels need to go. Mages evokers in particular need their mobility and control / movement immunities toned down

MoP we had a lot of active skills to answer every situation. Now we have a lot of triggers and passives.
Okay, ret paladin requires melee range again then and double freedom is gone.
Being able to get to los and move between targets is important.
Agree to a point. Chains hitting multiple targets is annoying, but the pet… the pet slowing people? Getting to be absurd.
I’d be fine with it if it was costing them a global and they had to target each person. Even if it was just poisons and they had to melee each target would be an improvement.

My comment was not aimed at correcting you but as a complaint against current design with the specs I mentioned (mage evoker). As of right now, most classes spells like charge , steed, dont actually do anything against these two running circles around you. I am of the belief when these two clssses get their mobility tuned down , melee and overall experience will vastly improve.
Sure sure. I didn’t take it that way. Just meaning in addition to, being able to move a bit more freely is important for arena.
I think the devs have really lost site of that and the game has almost evolved around the current slows, snares, cc, meta. So we constantly are getting more gap closers, blinks, etc.
Be nice if they dialed it back, but I’m sure PvE has pushed this a lot as well.
Id say its pretty much difficult to dial it back so id say go balls to the walls.

Yea, maybe. I wouldn’t mind that as much as just the slows getting toned down.
