You are in the horde because of Baine, also Baine is a good leader that does what needs to be done so that peace can be maintained. Diplomatic moves are what hes all about.
As an alliance player back then I remember the orc NPC in Ironforge.
Zog was his name.

You didn’t see Jaina march into Orgrimmar after the Third War was over and have a nice cup of tea with Thrall. While the two are friends, the Horde and Alliance ideals are just too dissimilar to ever be allied officially.
To be honest, if the Tauren and Night Elves swapped sides (Tauren want the more peace-focused lifestyle of the Alliance, Tyrande decides the Alliance have turned their backs on the Night Elves too many times), it would be a nice twist to the overall story. Things are set up for it to be an avenue to take if they wanted.
Baine is great for the horde with out him no high mountain tauren either.

Gonna say if you dislike him so much go alliance then you can do what you must. Hes a good leader for the horde.
I’m sure the millions of dead Tauren at the hands of Magatha because Baine refused to have her executed believe he is just the best thing to ever happen to them.

Nah, I like Tauren where they are. To me they’re one of the three most authentically horde races (Orc, Tauren and Trolls). I probably wouldn’t play one myself, though I considered a highmountain named Mooseman (name was taken) so I might still do that once SL reduces their grind. Mostly though people who play Tauren just tend to be really chill players, so I always appreciate having them around.
Also you’re posting from a Vulpera, probably the horde race with the least influence over who stays and goes.
