Even if it’s a bunch of meh gear, atleast you don’t feel like you wasted your time completely.
They modeled the seasonal thing after Diablo, in Diablo it rains gear and most of it is garbage but you don’t feel as bad because you still get that dopamine hit from all the drops.
in WoW you feel like a starving person just hoping for something to drop. After a while it starts feeling hopeless and they give up trying and I suspect this is part of the reason raiding has such a hard time with attendance.
