Can we please get dual spec?

And you think you’re going to be able to afford dual spec how?

Getting ready to swipe your card?

With tons of changes like the respec cost you cited. Hence why I said it was silly to call out someone asking for other things to change.

That we have in versions of the game we decided not to play.

:woman_shrugging:

Dude wtf are you talking about?

SoD is all about adding things from other versions of the game. If you don’t want any changes there’s always Era and even that isn’t the same as Vanilla WOW.

Chaos Bolt (Wrath)
Shadow Word: Death (TBC)
Dispersion (Wrath)
Mutilate (TBC)
Living Bomb (Wrath)
etc, etc, etc.

This is not what I stated. You are pointing to #nochanges as if that’s my argument. Is this a straw man? Is it gaslighting? Is it sealioning?

Now, if you think what I’m stating is silly, then cool. Fair enough, you are entitled to your own opinion, but if you’re going to nitpick, at least pretend to be on topic.

SoD is a seasonal version of Classic Era, and has some changes that the devs decide on. We can argue about the intended design decisions, but we don’t know, and sure maybe they will add LFD/LFR, dual spec, account-wide mounts, reputation and all sorts of other things. I don’t know and that’s not my decision. But, I do have my opinions, which I am sharing.

The OP states:

Wrath/Retail, are very much Lobby Game leaning, like wanting to just login and do instanced content seems to suggest a preference for.

Classic Era, and by extension (unless the devs explicitly state or otherwise make it clear) has not and is not a lobby game. Indeed, the devs mentioned that SoD was about exploring the world of Azeroth, whether true or not, that certainly does not suggest lobby gaming.

In any case, so far I have been greatly enjoying SoD for all of the things that it is, and not missing or lamenting Wrath/Retail features, so when I see someone asking for them on these forums, I am happy to share that I have a different opinion.

Including lowering the respec cost cap to 1G AND letting us change Runes (which are more impactful than talents) anywhere as long as your our of combat.

Id say asking for Dual spec (and for it NOT to cost 1K Gold) is a drop in the bucket in comparison and kind of an odd hill to die on in light of all the other changes.

Cool. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

nobody is quitting over a lack of dual spec :expressionless:
also, they have addons to help you reallocate talent points efficiently.

I’d like to be able to store Hot Bar loadouts.

I wouldn’t have much issue without having that if Blizz gave us the [known] conditional for macros like we have in Retail. Then I could just make macros to get a similar effect.

deff need dual spec in the game so i can go feral(dps) or boomy if the situation calls for it.

The devs have explicitly stated SoD is a lobby try random stuff out game.

Yup. No ifs ands or buts.

Do it, or SoD is doomed.

It’s sad because I enjoyed Phase 1 and had a great time with Phase 2, but Phase 3 really needs to turn the ship around and fast if Classic+ is to get back on track.

I mean, they kind of are though.

Do you have a source for this?

When I stated above:

My source is the official World of Warcraft YouTube Channel Dev Interview where they ask the developers “What is Season of Discovery?”

Joshua Greenfield, Senior Game Producer,

(among other things stated, summarizes with) “… and that’s really what Season of Discovery is all about is going out and rediscovering the original World of Warcraft world.”

people are quitting because SoD is terrible :expressionless: not a lack of dual spec

Yes it’s literally in their official blizzard pages.

:woman_shrugging:

Exactly, it’s so weird people think SoD was every just going to be fresh vanilla servers.

More then likely a level 60 feature.

In the mean time if your problem is simply wanting to quickly reselect talents after a respec, there is an addon for that. I believe it is called talented (could be wrong)

I, for one, can’t see myself playing through the end of the season without a free or cheap dual spec.

Right now I’m avoiding raid logging by running tank/heals for raiding, then respeccing for PvP or solo until the next raid reset.

It’s a time and money sink already, and I’m not sure how long it’ll be before that gets old and I start raid logging.

Raid logging is really one foot out the door for quitting, and trashes the SoD community when people just log on for two hours every three days.

Dual spec would personally keep me in, on, and playing.
