Can we NOT have weapon requirments on talents for Warrior

I’m sorry, I totally misunderstood you.

Perhaps, instead of different talents for different weapon types, it could be a single talent with different effects depending on weapon type.

That might still lead to some pressure to farm certain weapons, depending on the power of these effects, but it would effective prevent conflicts around pathing and being forced to pick x weapon talent because y talent down the line is very good for your build.

“Speculated” is very much a key word here…

Rogue player here. Poison and bleed immune mobs in tbc sucked multiple butts back in the day.

Also this does seem like just another azerite armour/legendary/bfa neck type deal.

Players who don’t really dabble in endgame content ecstatic that their alt gets some flavour and telling the end game players that this will revitalise wow.

Endgame players pointing out how due to the way the rest of the game works and their past experiences; this is going to be sucky.

(if) this makes it to live, we’ll have some more arguments before it eventually gets taken out (hopefully during beta and not 11.0) when it’s found that surprise; the players at the top were right again for the Xth expansion in a row.

Ps. You can add thematic martial styles without tying it to weapons. If you think “spears shouldn’t attack the same way as axes” then just wait till I tell you about transmog and attack animations. I’ll be over here swinging my spear like an axe because wow is silly like that.

What I expect will happen is this:

No, I doubt anyone will kick you for having the non meta weapon (unless you’re pugging the absolute bleeding edge or you found a crap leader)

Instead of adding flavour and letting you “choose how you want to play” it’ll be more like “my loot drops will determine how I get to play”

And that’s not fun. I’d rather it was split into size categories (1h fast paced CDR spam Vs 2h slow, mastery/bleed/armour pen) or something. That way, if you want or have to go one way because it’s better you just swap your loot spec between arms or prot or something.

This weapon splitting works for rogue because I can set my loot to assassin or sub for daggers and outlaw for sword/mace/axe. If I had to get an axe to play a bleed build, under our current loot systems I’d rather just go play assassin and worry about daggers.

To make this weapon specialising play enjoyable you’d have to rethink weapon acquisition on a large scale.

All of that system revamp could be avoided if we just got rid of the talent.

lmao.

I think we can make room to bring back other fan favourites like 30/60/90% chance to stay stealthed after sapping and extra range on throw weapon/distract.

And if you dont have these talents, you can get out of my party.

E N G A G I N G.

lmao.

Where you even find this take?

The talent is first of all optional.
Second of all even if you felt forced to pick it you’d only need two weapons, not 5.
Third of all, weapons have devolved into just being stinky stat sticks.
Currently the only think people care about is it’s item level and its secondary stats. If we continue not giving a damn about what type of weapon we use, why do the dev team even bother creating different weapons at all? All weapons are just one out of seven generic 2H weapons, each with each secondary stat…

I’d say, make weapons have an identity again.

Especially considering it’s only one of the five talents at the bottom of the Arms tree. If someone really doesn’t like having Weapon Specializations, they’re free to take Fatality, Unhinged, Merciless Bonegrinder, or Exploiter instead. Then they don’t have to worry about what weapon they’re using.

Another talent revamp and it’s not going anywhere.

Rip Arms, sacrificed to the RP gods.

lmao.

Talents like this are fine.

However the half of it that references colossus is in my opinion not the best choice.

With a talent like this it should be what I’d call universal and not rely on other optional talents far away in the tree.

So bladed weapons and swords having crit is fine.

Maces can get something else like 8% mortal strike damage, stacking sunder armor debuff or chance on hit to stun, something that doesn’t rely on a particular build to function.

its not performing better lmao
