Can we nerf guards for next phase?

I love world pvp, but seeing what we’re going into for next phase (highly probable STV as the pvp zone), a lot of battles are going to happen on the beach around Grom’Gol, seeing as we’re going to be locked at level 40, the guards and npc’s in the basecamp are 55/60 for the most part.

It’s fine for 60’s battling it out they can avoid getting 1-shot by guards, but for 40’s not so much.

Even feeling it in the current phase of pvp. Stray too close to Splinter Tree or Astranaar and you get squashed by a ?? level guard.

By no means we need to make the guards irrelevant, but rather elite mobs that we can realistically manage, or get away from without getting 1-shot.

(Also remove dishonorable kills from the game, they serve no purpose. Make those civilians unable to be attacked)

Guards exist for this exact reason, though.

At 60 they are a non-issue. You can run away from them without issue.

When we’re capped at a level much lower than normal, they are leading to boring playstyle of playing chicken with the enemy’s guards while trying to engage in pvp.

It should be difficult to occupy an enemy town. I don’t see the problem.

At 60, they should still be an issue. Me killing level 61s in Retail in the middle of town (Waking Shore?) while the guards barely scratch my armor is the trailer park of RPG design. (Fun, but really rat-level fun.)

At level 40 with new gear, runes, tier we will do the damage of 60’s. The question is do NPC’s there have mob scaling? If not they shouldn’t be a problem.

Wouldn’t the issue not be the DPS characters can output, rather that they’re level 40 characters with 200 weapon skill & defense, versus level 60 NPCs with 300 weapon skill & defense? Or are mobs more than 3 levels higher than the player be calculated the same as mobs 3 levels higher regardless, like bosses? Sorry, I’m not 100% on this for miss chance, resist chance, and glancing blows.

You do raise some good questions. Not sure on NPC/Guards. I do know I seen a lvl 25 raid killing level 40 mobs. I do figure with the new Hit % gear, World buffs etc at level 40 with more runes. It should be fine.
