The 9 people that care about “community” can learn to deal. All the people that claim “they built a name for themselves” are just delusional thinking anyone beyond their guild even knows them. You are literally catering to a handful of people at this point.
You know the solution to mega servers, let people group from any server, boom everyone transfers off, queue times are gone, world is saved.
I know the 10 people who think they are known as “the portal guy” and “the war glaive guy” will complain, but I promise you no one on this game remembers you for more then 15 minutes after you leave their group. We are all nobodies, accept that and move on.
I agree. Doesn’t need to be full x-realm either, just let us do instanced content with bnet friends. If I could arena with my friends on grob/benediction while making a character on a low-pop server, I would.
So me and a few friends decided to resub and play some classic wrath. My server is full, my friend’s server is full. another friend’s server is full and locked. a couple friends are on skyfury and it’s a 3-5 hour queue…
so how are we supposed to play together? even if we want to pay ANOTHER $25 per character to move to another server, our only options are low pop servers.
lowest possible effort for maximum reward. it’s happened the last two classic launches, i don’t know why i expected it to be any better.
if this is the state of your servers, everyone needs at least one free xfer.
Cross server all realms within a region. spread accounts equally across all servers to equalize workload and layer up. this would solve faction dominating servers, queue times, and probably overall server health.
Rally, OP! You almost made it sound simple, dude. It’s like there was this solution all along that got drowned out by the cries of the sweatiest minority.
Side note to “the 9” lol- You are more than your little reputation, don’t limit yourself! You can rebuild to be another nobody after this fix is implemented and everybody can play the old game we pay for.
would not solve faction dominating a server, and would not stop the players from dogpiling a server; the economy of a server is a driving force here against.
there wouldn’t be servers. the servers would be back end. now, could it be possible that there is an overall more horde than ally? yes.
The big struggle i would see, how do you tie the AH together across all servers. That would be the complexity. also the fresh server trolls would be upset.
