Palia’s housing is fanatic too…along with all the different machines you build to make thing with …and the gardening is damn cool too…it has limited combat really you do hunt down deer and that with a bow…but its very limited for sure.
There is nothing wrong with Palia …its free and quite wonderful housing type in it…add in all the different machines you build to make stuff…the gardening …you can catch and display almost everything that is catch-able…
I’ve seen this set or arguments made against PH so many times and they are always ridiculous.
The moment the garrison is mentioned as a reason for not having player housing, its a lost PoV. Aside from being instanced (which PH in WoW almost certainly would be) it has nothing in common. Player housing is a house not a fort.
What’s the point? Whats the point of transmog, or collecting achievements or toys or battlepets? They are fun, side cosmetic activities that you can do or not, as you please.
And finally - nobody, but nobody, sits inside their house rather than being out in the game. You go in, you decorate, you admire and maybe take a selfie or a screen shot of your work, and you leave. That’s it.
Not really …you don’t have Freedom of Speech here …this is a privately owned company and can dictate what can be posted …sure you can post whatever but you’ll be banned in a flash if they don’t like it…Freedom of Speech is linked too that the Govt can’t stop you …I really wish they teach Civics again in the school…they way everyone screams its Freedom of Speech for anything now a days really shows the lack of understand of the term…
This game is too huge to just get some basic housing system. We need something more grandiose. Garrisons were a start, but they were gutted mid development and we got… whatever those we have now can be called. Maybe something like that. Like a town or something.
Guild Wars 2 started out with a good idea. You’d get a mini-zone to yourself, part of a city or something like that, you’d get trophies in it, NPCs and all that stuff. Thing is it was really rigid.
Now they have housing and honestly, I’m not impressed at all. The only cool thing about it is that you can see your alts in it, but they just sit there doing nothing. Just sit… it’s kind of disturbing.
It is. But it’s something people obviously want, so my question was, who are you to decide not only that they shouldn’t get it but they should also leave this game. Where does that power come from?
Wrong. You can build in safe zones where you cannot be nuked and you can also deactivate or move your camp. I’ve rarely ever seen anyone purposefully nuke someones camp too.
Yep, like putting fun back into the game. Player housing is a purely cosmetic fun activity, there is no ‘end game’ or high pressure or gogogo, its like transmog in 3d.
I may be a starry eyed optimist but I believe they will do it one day. My only hope is that they do it right, because if they can’t, I’d rather they not do it at all.
The real world already has a housing crisis, why should WoW be special? To paraphrase Richard Nixon “Read my lips. No new housing”.
Seriously, though. WoW doesn’t need player housing, even for the RP’ers. What WoW needs is a better game, not this bug infested mess we’ve all come to be disappointed with.
