I’m planning on starting a fresh-faced, well-named Vulperan, on a an RP server that has rules against stupid names like the examples the OP listed. When I see names like that…and I fully expect to…I intend on reporting them. If they continue to behave like trash, I’ll report them again.
Call me a stick-in-the-mud fun killer if you like, but the very last thing our RP servers need are people coming to our haven for role-playing for the express purpose of trolling us, and doing their best to ruin our fun, just to get their jollies.
If they find themselves unable to go around mocking us with their naked toon named ‘Bytmifzzybut’, they’ll get the idea that they aren’t welcome.
Why do you presume I have to police anything? The sort of things I described has happened every time a new race (Pandaren, Worgen, Void Elf, Kul Tiran) has been introduced. I don’t have to do anything but quest and run dungeons to see plenty of it. So apparently, I understand the difference far better than you.
I understand it fine. You just made a presumption that I meant to do the same thing as the OP. I simply agreed on their point that improper character name rules should be enforced…especially when it is done for the sole purpose of trolling RP’rs.
More power to them. It will hopefully mean I won’t have to see as many to report myself.
Imagine playing a character on a mmoRPG (Role-Playing Game) like WoW, and finding fault with people that are here to…you know…role-play. That’s just silly.
