They did all they can do, stubborn people didn’t care. What would be funny is to go back a couple weeks and drag up all the posts of people bragging about how good games have queues and we should ditch layering in favor of queues… and there were a LOT of them.
i have already met multiple people who have re-rolled off full servers… its easy. The only reason i can see for anyone staying on a server too full to play on que wise for them is if they wanna be buddies with asmongold or esfand or similar.
Players couldn’t figure out Herod had much longer queues compared to other realms when Classic was released?
Then this forum would be flooded with complaints from players that have a beloved family member, friend, guildie, etc. who was cut off from Herod because they were busy at work so they couldn’t make a toon right when the game was released.
Hate to break this to you but no one gets “equal playtime”. Why should your work schedule or personal responsibilities impact me playing the game in anyway?
You throw the word adult around multiple times in your post yet here you are crying about this situation. You could reroll very easily and instantly fix the problem.
Except they didn’t. Just right now I can boot up another wow account with no characters anywhere and I can make a character on Herod or Faerlina or any of the omegafull servers. That isn’t helping control populations.
Herod was able to have characters made on it 14 days before classic launch. Your scenario doesn’t work here. Or was that person at work for 14 days straight without a computer? If that is the case they probably make up 0.000001% of the wow population.
Notice how most of the complaints on here to not reroll are from those that DID reserve their names 2 weeks before launch. Probably some sort of correlation there.
So you think players should have been cut off from character creation on Herod before Classic was even released?
Can’t play at all past the first day you logged in but you are 27… yeah, calling BS on that.
Yes and blizzard would have done the smart thing and released more servers BEFORE LAUNCH DAY.
They clearly had the data that the servers were going to be full a week before launch. They didn’t do anything about it besides telling people to reroll when literally every server at the time was full.
Well that’s unfortunate because it ain’t gonna happen, lol.
yeah i made a character on herod but i rerolled because of those queue times
Yeah no. Your job and whatever free time you have to play is not Blizz or anyone else’s problem and you aren’t owed compensation due to your real life limitations on your time. What an utter sense of entitlement you have there to think that because YOU can’t play as much as you want then you are “owed” and it isn’t “fair” that others have more free time to play.
The problem with this is that many people DID do as Blizzard asked… Twice.
When Stalagg was released, we moved there. It filled up fast.
When Skerum was released, we switched again at Blizzard’s recommendation.
Guess what? Still have 5 hour queues.
There were no options. If you have a decent sized group, it’s hard to convince half of the folks to switch when they’ve got names and levels behind them.
What you end up with instead is half the server macro-moving, remote logging, or dual boxing each other to cheat the queue.
A high-to-low transfer fixes this in a day. Good Lord, just pull the trigger.
It amazes me that some people don’t get this in this post.
Or better yet that its entirely Blizzard’s fault for only having 3 PvP servers available to choose from knowing 1 was going to be Brazilian, 1 was absolutely going to be Streamer Server, and the last was going to have to hold the ENTIRE capacity of normal people.
This was no ones fault but Blizzards.
Note: I had to login at 5am on a Saturday to get a spot in the server, and I won’t be leaving the spot for the foreseeable future, thats apparently what I have to do to play.
Yeah, I work night shift. When I get home from work at 7:30am, no queue at all! But if I think to myself, “Maybe I’ll do some fishing before work!”
…10k queue! Looks like all my playing on Herod is gonna be during the morning hours.
Edit: Only reason I’m playing on Herod is because all my friends refused to move, to be completely honest. If I had it my way, I would have rolled on another server.
