The pong game is with other people.
Do you raid? Because that is where social toys are often used (between pulls) and coincidentally that is where a lot of the game’s social activity happens, when you’re in a guild environment. Expecting that kind of thing from random 5-man pugs isn’t really realistic.
I used to raid and no one did anything social with toys other than spam them to see who could create the most junk on screen.
I am asking for fun simple mini games not gated behind toy ownership requirements and specifically set aside for down time. That’s why I suggested putting them in the inn.
Running dungeons in Wrath, I remember playing Bedazzled (?) while waiting on guildies to arrive. It was an add-on and popped up in-game.
Toys are by far the best option for this sort of thing because they can be used anywhere. Almost nobody just stands around in the inn, even most RPers don’t. It’s a combat-oriented roleplaying game, not an AOL chatroom. Particularly since some activities (like islands and warfronts) you have to queue for in specific places.
No one goes there because there’s no point in doing so right now.

I play the bejeweled toy one, while fishing. It is about the only way I can stand fishing.
I go to first person, have the bejeweled game running with the sound up for the bobber. Then I press my left side mouse button to recast the line, done with an in game macro set to an action bar thing (with that mouse button set to that action bar thing.)
The “jewel” whatever toy is very cheap on the AH.
Slow down there OP, that would be adding community RP flavor to the game and would take away from the queue lobby combat focus.
Can we play CHESS in WOW?
2 players can engage in a chess battle with 5 minutes on their clock each side, betting gold as they play, people can gather around and watch the game by clicking the chess board. They can bet 1,000 gold 5,000 gold or like 10,000 gold etc. and have some WQs with chess puzzles? mate in 2, 3 and 4?
I used to play at Chess tournaments travelling cities in my younger days and still am a chess enthusiast. Having chess in wow will be so wonderful.

What a great idea, yeah ! Let’s have more fun and engaging content like puzzle games and tower defense. Candy crush, Clash of Clans and PUBG mobile, maybe ?

A mod for a group to predict the next bg for 100-500 gold would be cool if it was cross server. If the bg wasn’t picked there would be a carry over.

Hearthstone should be incorporated into WoW. How cool would it be to plop down in an inn somewhere and start playing HS vs your friend right inside the game?
Back in vanilla, Blizzard actually teamed up with the developers of Bejeweld to create an official Bejeweled mod for the game. It had unique levels based on WoW and showed a leaderboard amongst your friends.
Was cool, great for waiting for a raid to start or taking a long flight path.

Not a bad suggestion. Star Trek Online has minigames implemented as an alternative to heavy mat grinding. The dilithium mining comes to mind as an example.
We don’t need anything in the game that will divert resources from actual RPG elements of the game.
No more mini-games, no more pet battles. Get back to being a deep RPG experience.
