Once again this type of release schedule is what many players asked for. Its how private servers have done it to kind of track how Vanilla was done. It is the reason they are doing it.
Do note that they said releases would be based on where the general population was with the content release, so I expect phase 2 to be fairly short lived.
No it won’t be… why do you trust them or have faith in them at all?
What you’re really saying is that the more people that quit the sooner, the better, so we can plow through all this crap and get to the complete game faster.
I wanted classic. ALL of it. Not to have to wait a damn year just to pvp.
Was the goal of the project to make classic as close to an authentic Vanilla experience as possible? Yes.
Did Vanilla yave bg’s at launch. No.
That is the only reasoning needed. This was discussed months ago. Blizz made accommodations to stretch out the phases per player discussions.
Some of us do not want to rush this. We’ve been on this hype train for years and rushing through it is the last thing we want.
Hell with all this world gankage and camping preventing leveling that some seem to have issue with, (can’t stress enough those people should uave rolled pve)why don’t all the high level bored players help out their faction’s lowbies that are allegedly being camped into oblivion?
Why not roll an alt on an imbalanced realm to help the “balance” issue?
There’s plenty people can do. It’s an old school mmorpg. Make something up but don’t rush everyone’s classic experience because you rushed yours and are close to burn out.
The truth is those “with nothing to do” will be quitting before long. They played to devour the content. Mission accomplished. Now use your imagination or wait for the content.
Don’t be stupid and obtuse. There’s no point to pvp right now. It doesn’t offer an alternate path to gear yet.
This is just going to be a sickening repeat of vanilla where the pve’ers are given all priority and all gear while those of us who like 5 mans and bgs can go die or quit the game.
The players on this forum OVERWHELMINGLY asked for and supported a phase that was world PvP without bgs. You Johnny Come Latelys are annoying and in the minority.
Why are you telling us what we should and could in-game do while we wait? As if somehow we are responsible for this, or that said activities will placate us?
I haven’t met anyone in-game excited for world PvP. I’m not.
Anyhow the more this drags on the more people come to realize that they are wasting their time. Raid logging is already becoming the norm for many players.
Because frankly through the entire process this set of Devs working on Classic have been pretty straight forward with us. We haven’t always gotten the answer we wanted to hear, but they’ve been pretty honest about what has been going on.
Im giving them the benefit of the doubt because this particular team has more or less earned that, I wouldn’t say the same about the retail team.
The point to pvp is the same as it’s always been. To slay the enemy.
Omg. You have to play the game and run some dungeons or even craft/buy some gear? Oh the agony.
Take a break if you can’t bring yourself to play the game. Retail bg’s could use more players in the queue.
What you could do and Yes. it is on you. It’s an open world RPG. It leaves a lot of room for player imagination. It’s literally part of the design.
It’s basically like giving a kid a cardboard box back in the day. It’s a racecar, a boat, an airplane, a time machine, a spaceship, a building, a punching bag, a dartboard, an evil bad guy that must be stabbed to death, a campfire, or anything else your imagination can come up with.
Which means they were already wasting their time. Pretty much the point of video games in general. Lol.
That’s not what I’m seeing in game. I see quite a bit of LFM pvp. I see call outs in zones and groups formed. I see community.
Yea. Those players devoured the content and obviously have no time for the rest of their communities and that is what they want to do or maybe even able to do? Idk but i do know if more people used their imagination they might not be so bored.
I came from UO. Players made games and events. We played capture the flag, this cool bag ball game, (wish wow had some objects in game that could be placed on the ground and picked up/moved by players) player duel tourneys, RP’ed (yes i know not everyone’s thing, which kind of blows my mind because it’s an rpg…)battles as pirates, among other player run activities.
So why play any video games at all? My point is that with all the gaming options available, some people will conclude that they are wasting their time in this one. Really, you just lowered your credibility to argue by stating this point.
Ohhhhh and you just had to delete whatever paragraph you were forming to respond to this haha. You’re thirsty for a forum win
Didn’t say quit. Said unsub till phase 2 passes.[quote=“Sideous-grobbulus, post:76, topic:345581”]
Classic has been out what? Going on 3 months? They just started removing layering. Slow down and smell the doomweed.

Right but do the math. That means phase 4 will be an additional 9 months off if phase two dropped TOMORROW, which it won’t, which means AV won’t be in the game until at minimum 1 year after the launch.
Which inevitably happens to almost all games. Doesn’t matter if it’s a cyclical updated content release or a stand alone game.
See wow for historical data. In almost every iteration players get their fill. Leave. Some return. Some don’t.
Uh huh. Stating a fact lowers credibility? Lol. Just
Wrong again. Closed my phone screen to go into the store. No im not driving and board warrioring either. I’m a passenger.
Lol. Another swing and a miss. 3 strikes! You’re out! I’ve been here too long to care about stats. Well except this stat of you striking out.
