That login “queue” in WoD was actually a bug, there was an issue going into “outlands” that would kick people.
People like OP are the reason WoW went to garbage.
My issue is not with game play. Its with lack of action on blizzard when it could have been avoidable.
You are currently down 75 cents, don’t lose any sleep over it.
It’s more the principle of the matter than the actual lost money. If it’s only 50-75 cents, would it kill them to credit their users with that much play time?
What you need to consider is that the population boom your seeing right now isn’t going to last; people are going to realize that classic was a slow, ponderous beast that afforded moments of true wonder and joy (getting your first purple, clearing your first dungeon, Driving out campy PVP dicks).
When that happens the servers will stop having overloads and players will be able to get on relatively easily.
Could this potentially be resolved by creating a hundred more servers right now? Sure, but in a couple of months when the population dips you’ll wind up with dozens of dead servers, where you might have a hundred or so active players which ultimately defeats the main appeal of classic over retail for many: The community.
Im acting.
Did you pay expressly for classic or are you getting it as a bonus in addition to retail?
I’d rather it be packed for a few weeks instead of all of these servers opening up.
If you are a current retail player this should be even less of an issue for you then people who re-subbed specifically for Classic.
Give me a break. If you worked in the industry you’d be reprimanded for saying something this foolish. I’ve worked in the game industry, trust me, this isn’t as planned. Blizzard knows the demand for vanilla is high. I’m 100% sure they’re working round the clock trying to resolve the issue. If retail WoW started having issues everyone would be in a uproar, including you.
YEAH, I SEE THAT.
DADDY GAVE YOU GOOD ADVICE.
While I do see your point, and conceed it’s a fair one, I feel a company like Blizz could’ve found some clever way around it.
I paid expressly for classic. I was raiding in BfA until late 8.1 and let my sub die because i no longer enjoyed the game. The only time I’d log back into BfA is to buy a token with the gold i still have on that char.
They don’t care. They figure, “We have their money, and in a couple weeks, the problem will go away.” Why would they care about how frustrated we are and how badly they screwed this up, when eventually, it will all go away?
Literally, they.don’t.give.a.fck. They can pay lip service, but after 15 years and multiple launches, it is always the same old bullsht launch problems.
That was exactly my point. I’m not a current retail player. I gave up on BfA months ago, and resubbed only for classic.
This is their plan to get us to log in to their mobile game called Battle For Azeroth.
Which truly is a better reason to be pissed off but in my opinion is still not a very reasonable one.
To be fair, Retail is set up in a way where it’s virtually impossible for this kind of thing to happen due to phasing creating subservers that reduce load.
But people didn’t want that, they wanted KOMUNITTEEEEE and here we are.
Sorry!!!
Hope you are doing ok.
This statement makes no sense. Blizzard is in the business of making money, not losing it. I expect more servers to be coming up due to the high demand.
