Can we get account wide ignore?

the people who start the threads get out of hand and act in ways that are not appropriate for the forums.

How do I remove other people’s likes?

it seems like this is the driving force behind the “us vs them” mentality.

if there are two clearly defined groups, one of those groups will always view themselves as the underdog/victim.

(when in reality, there are no groups, just random people who share a point of view about a thing)

well, the pro-btag thread got removed four times now? and the anti-btag thread only got removed once (months after all the pro-btag threads were taken down).

Not I, cus I am not ‘us’ or ‘them’ I’m ‘me’.

thats a really good point, keep doing such a good job.

i really appreciate everything you do to make the forums a better place, my friend

You are arguing back instead of ignoring.

The person is on a sacrifice alt account, reason why they are acting as such.

So? I don’t see the issue?

You think account wide ignores will only happen if a thread gets to 10k posts or something?

They already said forums reworks are being looked at.

months ago… there hasn’t been anything said about it since.

you do have many dreams, though… and i applaud your ability to dream

Which account wide ignores would solve.

Thank you for agreeing.

Because of behavior I’m actually expecting a lock or 404.

i think that is not too unreasonable… very likely scenario, i agree. good point

I mean, this shows why it was such a loss when the flag system lost the ability to add a note, Would be very handy to explain the pattern of behavior that is going on in order to try and silence the people they oppose.

Again, so?

Just make a new thread. I don’t see the issue here. Just more proof trolls are trolling then playing the victim.

Mods don’t punish the people who insight fights and trolling that help shut down threads, that is one of the forum issues.

Oh, big shocker that he agrees with himself.

it’s kind of interesting how until this thread existed, i don’t think i’ve ever felt the need to use the ignore feature.

i never experienced first hand, just exactly how terrible, pointless, and useless the existing “ignore” truly is.

how is it an “ignore”, if it shows me the ignored person has posted?
how is it an “ignore”, if I can see the ignored person being quoted?
how is it an “ignore”, if I can click to view posts by the person I don’t want to hear from?

I understand that Discourse wanted to be at the cutting edge of a new forum style, but there’s a reason that the “old forum style” has existed for so long… it’s been tried and tested, and has stood the test of time.

But the point is what?

I’ll get banned? I couldn’t care less.
The thread will close? Make another.
They continue to troll and play the victim? They do that anyways.

The issue won’t get resolved from the existence of one specific thread and the guy getting paid $12 an hour to close threads doesn’t care.

They are looking into it, that much we know, so it’s just time and continuous acknowledgment and the more problems that get caused just shows why the current system is a failure.

Atleast the custom job they did for wow, is really really terrible.
