People don’t ignore everyone though, it’s just certain people that harass, troll, etc. and those same people have shown in this thread and many others they are the exact reason why account wide ignoring needs to become a thing on the WoW forums.

but if we have account wide ignore on the wow forums, that gives people the tools they need to maliciously identify people’s alts, which i just don’t think is a good thing.

I could argue the same when your side turns a blind eye to lashing out against posters who disagree with them, you might think its ok but it isn’t and you couldn’t justify it to anyone who works at Blizzard with a straight face.

There do seem to be multiple posts in the thread discussing how to do it.
It’s not like finding people’s alts hasn’t routinely and easily been done without account wide ignore, it’s just more annoying.

I’ve said it many times in this thread if you aren’t a shady person doing shady things, saying shady stuff, posting shady stuff, trolling, harassing, stalking, etc. other people you legit have nothing to hide on your alts so.

I can guarantee you, that if I had tried posting with any of my alts they would’ve been flagged into oblivion.
Just a result of how bitter posters can become over topics of forum changes, someone at moderation needs to step in and black list the topic at this point.
