Can we get account wide ignore?

I’m not against new players, but when a known troll is trying to use “new players” as an excuse to continue trolling, more limits are needed.

That is because they are Khrog. You know, the person who created the Anti-BTag thread who thinks adding BTags will cause harassment and stalking.

Exactly. Many forums place limits on new accounts until they kinda have been around for a bit. It helps to reduce trolls just making new toons and harassing.

You don’t cut new players out you just only let them post in CS and new player sections until they have spent some time posting it leveling their toons.

We can always have a little sprout on the new players and have it available for atleast a couple of months. But this has to be link to btag and not character. So that way there’s no sockpuppets happening

Ideally yes.

I think account wide ignore should just be part of this fix.

Ayukama said it well.

I see you typing Doobly, I put you on ignore, you need not respond to me.

All Blizzard has to do is - hey, enforce the rules they already provided and boom no more issues. Though that would put a HUGE damper on the amount of ‘pro btag’ posters, since they love to announce stuff like ignores. Plus derailing threads that are not their own.

well, hello friend.

i noticed that you mentioned that new accounts would have to be attached to a btag.

i want to thank you very much for your contribution to the topic but i have to politely disagree with you.

If blizzard were to make btags visible on the forums, then that leaves new opportunities for gold farmers and spammers to contact these players in game, which is not a good thing.

these new players should not have to endure constant contact from gold farmers simply because they wanted to post on the forums to find a new friend or two.

btags on the forums just lead to a whole new set of problems.

i am very happy we had this chat, though. i think it was very enlightening for you, since i provided you with the correct answer.

thanks again and have a lovely day, friend

I’ve got them on ignore, and they still reply. I’m just not responding to them. They aren’t worth the time to be noticed.

Reactionary responses require harassment to occur.

Better to reduce the ability to harass with a few common sense systems. Better for CS and better for security overall.

Probably cheaper too.

I’d hate to have them post a big ole thing for nothing. Since I saw them typing lol

Sure, require $100/yr to post to the forums sound good? Up front, separate from game sub

They didn’t post at you, congrats.

It does mean what I say it means, and you’re spamming rn

Oh I agree w/ what Ayukama has posted. I’m more thinking of the new poster (if we actually have them)

It’s funny how desperate they are to try and talk to people. We’ll probably get a new alt shortly considering I think everyone is ignoring them now

The moment they switch to a new alt, will be the moment I’ll be reporting them for harassment. Sick of them switching alts to continue bypassing ignores to continue trolling.

I see there’s a different character in here to shame everyone for not being thrilled at the trolls being obnoxious.

I do like the idea of a leaf icon and all that. Let folk know whose maybe actually new.

It would be hard to be sure… Their posting style… Well… Seen it before. Lol

But they’re hiding behind burn accounts. Spending an awful lot of money on fussing around on the internet

Yeah, but if we had account wide ignores, ignoring them will be faster than them paying the money, and going through the entire process to keep creating accounts.

Plus, having limits on new accounts also, such as the new player forums would be better too, where they are limited until after a certain period of time, which means, all they are doing is waisting time.

Setting up the forums properly, and not just with the WoW Forums, but every forum, would actually go a long way to completely slow down the trolling. Though, it wouldn’t get rid of it completely.

yea I find people tends to be extra helpful if they know the person is new

It’s their money. Win for blizzard considering that they need to pay $15 to activate the account only to be ignored by the forum

I would like more ignores on top of that. My druid can’t ignore anymore people. I’ve been playing since Vanilla and no way of knowing who I can just remove because they don’t play anymore.

we talking about ingame or the forums?

I play the game, not live on the forums.
