Silvermoon will be neutral. Bel’ameth and Hyjal will stay neutral.
None of the big elven cities will have faction locks and as they revamp the other capitals it’s likely going to be true of every single one of them. No amount of cope that there’s totally going to be a separate hub from Silvermoon will ever materialize.

Yes. They. Are. What exactly makes a High Elf different than a Blood Elf and a Blood Elf different than a Void Elf? High Elves are just Blood Elves who didn’t like the new emo name. Void Elves are Blood Elves who like H.P Lovecraft. Different philosophies or politics do not make it a new race. Addiction doesn’t make them a new race. Void tentacles don’t make them a new race. They are exactly the same as they were before. If you are one political party and swap to another your race doesn’t change. You are still a human. If you worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster and decide you like sitting meat boy more your race didn’t change. Tribe affiliation doesn’t change your race. The are all still High Elves.

You could make it work without taking away the faction devide.
Might be a bit more complicated to work out the specifics but its doable.
But really i want the whole race selection system overhauled.
Put all dwarves under the same category. All trolls etc.
Do we need 2 lots of pandas and dracthyr on the character creation screen? Its excessive.
We have races that have been added to the game via customisation options such as undead elves or demon aliens. Let them pick a racial tag that applies.

Your comparison point in the other thread being Darnassus is just laughable because Darnassus is 100% not accessible past level 50, there’s not even a way to get back there with Zidormi Darkshore. Literally all it is at this point is a vestigial starting zone.
I cannot go into Teldrassil. And Teldrassil will be rebuilt. And will likely stay faction locked as it should.

But im not advocating for a racial merger as such.
Just like, let mechagnomes use normal gnome hair styles. If you select mechagnome as your racial tag, youd still get their racials and mechanical customisation.
Like heck would i want to lose my void elf racials and voice lines XD

Um yes there is. KoT npc in Darkshore allows you to see old Darkshore and visit Teldrassil/Danassus. I went egg hunting around Dolanaar the other day.

I didn’t ever say that. I said that unification means exactly what we’ve done time and time again. Come together to defeat the big bad. You are the one that thinks that means we are all merging, living in the same city and the factions will be removed. Which is a lot more work than it seems. A lot more than that one short expac would probably get.

No other expansion has been pitched as a reunification plot.
Obviously we aren’t all merging. Nobody said anything about anyone besides elves.

I can see Blizzard letting people play as Silver Covenant high elves but I also can see Blizzard giving them a new model so they don’t look like Blood or Void Elves.

Yeah well, people have been asking for ogres since 2005 and those don’t even copy other existing playable races.
