Can we finally get playable the high elves?

Nah lol. In many ways they are very different with philosophies and alliances. People are just stuck on the basic model and don’t want to look past that because of this idea of forced neutrality. Which is garbage.

The alliance also kind of sucks for a lot of its existence

it was basically a human hegemony comprised of kingdoms that had varying levels of corruption. elves and humans both are pretty xenophobic historically. and the factions we get today are basically one faction taking another’s rejects

so while its a better source of the princesses and knights fantasy than the horde, it is not all fairies and unicorns

Its not just a basic model overlap though

You can make them 95% identical.

Customisation can help move players away from using the overlap, but that overlap is forever there.

Their philosophies arent even really different either.
Its just that one side uses magic the other isnt keen on. And then factions of course.

Would it also be a slap?

That and people who weren’t in Quel’thalas have been returning; Lanesh the Steelweaver has been a blacksmith with the farstriders in Mists and Legion and people have tried to report his blue eyes as a bug every time.

Legion in particular clearly wanted the divide to be a fading thing with how often the two groups overlapped (there’s even a mage guild high elf with fel green eyes - you can usually tell the NPCs apart from click lines)

It is. Because you have different styles for the two races. We aren’t voidy and you aren’t fel. You have to basically just look at the base model and go no, they are the same. Always best buds in every way too.

:racehorse: :poop:

Tbf neither are blood elves any more.
Now blood elves are all light fans.

Personally in an ideal world, i would throw all the thalassian elves in together as one on the character creation screen.
Share all basic customisation.
And then let players choose their race tag.
And what race you pick determines what additional customisation you get.

(Of course add more fun customisation as well)

But do they share their recreational drugs with the other races?

Yes some still are.

Wrong the only ones that are, are the ones that worship the light. This was already talked about during SL.

I know you would. Judging by your other thread, that is your agenda. I didn’t join a neutral faction. Keep me out of your fantasies.

No.

No. Stop trying to dilute the game.

More neutral bs. Hard pass.

I’m calling it now, we’re going to get Broken in Midnight since we should have gotten them in Legion but we got Velves instead.

That’d be cool actually.

I’d lvl one for the heritage set/achieve but like most allied races I’d end up deleting it… since I’m an altoholic and I have character cap. Blizz please increase character cap to 100!!

Lor’themar would probably let night elves have access to sunwell plateau in return for sharing a few moonwells tbh

Someones touchy today haha

I’m tired of it. People trying to see how much they can wreck the game.

exactly. People trying to say that Rendorei and Sindorei are Queldorei. But they are not.

Nothing about the idea would wreck the game.

Void elves and blood elves absolutely are the same race of people.
Sharing some hair styles or tats and gaining devide specific stuff such as a load of light themed stuff exclusive to blood elves hardly ruins the game does it.

All it does is expand peoples options where it makes sense to.

They literally are. Some quel’dorei are adamant that they are not, these people have largely gotten over themselves.

If I were to be annoying about this, making the alliance side of Dal in wrath elves instead of gnomes was a mistake and if it’s rectified by reuniting Quel’thalas and maybe re-railing the Suramar storyline towards Farondin’s goals, all the better. Allerian Stronghold made a degree of sense and some of its NPCs have been in Silvermoon during storylines. The silver covenant didn’t, least of all because it was led by a character who among other things expressed multiple times that the only reason she didn’t end up a sin’dorei was that she wasn’t near Quel’thalas at the time. She called her cousin undeserving of calling himself sin’dorei.

You lot have whined for 15 years because you didn’t get a race that would require borderline retconning ROC to make it a thing (and no, no amount of WC2 boomers in the writers’ team would have managed to get Metzen to do that), and you are never getting more than what there is, which is two high elven offshoots.

Forcing people into neutral factions to have the races come together would.

The. Factions. Are. Dead.

They were a mid development addition shoehorned after the RTS that was written about the end of the factions. They made no sense then and have steadily managed to make even less sense over the years.
