Selling Vengeance Wrap’s for profit on AH-
Get undercut within 2.5 seconds by the same level 1 player who is on for 18 hours a day parked in Stormwind. I run back and forth to my mailbox after cancelling my now undercut item 30 times in a row and the same player is able to undercut me within seconds.
This level of time commitment (18 hours a day) not actually playing the game (in Stormwind on a level 1 the entire time) being able to undercut me within seconds (obviously means this “player” has nearly 30 vengeance wraps in their bags how??? And using some sort of automation to undercut and cancel previous auctions) is completely inconsistent with even the most utterly autistic and wildly obsessive players.

Some questions.
How do you know he was online for 18 hours straight?
If you were cancelling your auction to repost as an undercut why would somebody else doing the same make them a bot?

If you are a druid what you can do is kite some of the elite blasted lands demons they have cleaves and sapper abilities.
Do with that information as you will.
Just have a lot of gold and you are able to craft 30 vengeaneance wraps (or any other expencive items). It’s not illegal lol. I doubt he has 30, but ye AH campers ofc usually have more then 1 of each item they sell to run to mailbox less often. Nothing illegal in it.

Back on Classic there was a really annoying person. Honestly thought they were a bot, too.
They were the type who would put listings up with absurd buyout price, the kind that they hope people aren’t paying attention, then get a big payout.
I would bid on the coppers worth of bids that had the listings show up in the front (back then).
They would also cancel the bid in time. The rare occasions I did win some, I finally got a whisper.
Some terminally ill person who told me their life story, they take the gold and give it to their kids guild
True? False? Dunno. They chatted for over 30 minutes. I listened. WHere they are now, who knows.

Yesterday was the bait pm spam from a “GM” saying I was doing illegal TOS breaking policy and to click on the obviously not even blizzard link to resolve. They did it a few times.
I was running quests lol.
I wanted to pm back and go dude does this work? As I can’t see how. But I didn’t want that to become a long convo tbh. So, i ignored it.
The question of how difficult or not it is to ‘tell’ who’s a bot, reminds me of that quote on the difficulty of designing bear-proof trash cans.
There’s more overlap between bot and real player behavior than you think.
A fun side fact. Some yeti coolers are bear certified. I guess they leave these out and see how bad bears tear them up? I do know its former Marine and teen proof. Between me and several outings for scout stuff my yeti has been (ab)used and still fine. Outside ain’t new from factory pretty and smooth. Its the inside that matters though lol.
This happened to me on SoD i lost all my gold trying to get a 3g major mana potion, i quit because the ticket response said they couldn’t do anything about it.
theres no way to track it, the people that make these 3rd party applications gate them. ive gotten over 15 accounts banned from the 4 popular bots from wow(its only bannable per account per TOS)
Odds are blizzard is the one manipulating it, they can create any volume at any price and resell it tax free on g2g. Makes sense why microsoft bought a failing company a virtual currency u can type a 1 line command a create millions of is worth about 15 usd per 1k gold atm.
This is how banks/fiats your real life work as well. they also profit off the banned bot accounts as its counted in their quarterly subscription for their investors.

1000 gold is a great deal in Wow honestly, and it brings in just $15 US dollars?
Seems to me folks could just recycle cans and make more money for the same effort.

hmm, last I saw TBC gold was 3 bucks for 10,000 gold so its actually waaaay cheaper. IDK how that could happen. There def isnt a bot army at throne of kiljaeden or anythign farming motes of fire. or every other gold farm in the game. naaah that couldnt be happening.
$15 US dollars can go a long way in some places.

No they cant, south americans make on average 1000 USD yearly.
Most that make over 5 figures do so thru illicit means/against companies TOS.
You are just that far from the slavery our system monetizes, capitalism cant succeed without monetizing others, tech/every industry would be in debt if africa/middle east/asia/india wasnt enslaved to mass produce for us.
They got 10s of thousands of people harvesting grams of precious metals daily. Gold/silver would be in 4 figures per gram if it wasnt for slavery and think how that would translate to every product produced from it(hint nothing is more conductive than silver for tech)
@rainbro LOL, go cast an arcane explosion/aoe effect outside Steamvault/Mana tombs. The bots log out after getting locked to dungeon. Again I ran 4 applications, the discord servers are as active as ever
I read stuff like this and wonder what most of you are on… Most of you CANNOT wait until Classic + comes out, and I’m like why? If Blizzard doesn’t totally screw it up like pretty much all their expansions and re-releases than BOTs will…
This will be one of the most highly anticipated releases for a MMO in YEARS, and you actually think the BOTS will not understand this as well and be there waiting to BOT it to hell and back?…

There are actual players who do that. Not always bots. Their are some true AH neckbeards who play the game. What OP described is probably just some no lifer sitting at their computer with multiple 2 liter half drank Mtn Dew bottles and a laptop that is right on their bed next to them. And then they use the addons to flip AH stuff. Even have two accounts so that way you can trade from toon to toon instead of mailing and it saves lots of gold that way. And you have your AH alt and they flip auctions…oh and btw.. most legit AH farmers who are actual players…are a level 1. And any true AH farmer would also have toons they make just to farm content. I have AH addons that allow alert me the exact second one of my actions was undercut.
