I’d agree except for Suramar. That zone remains Blizzard’s crown jewel of quest design.
Yes we can… By far.
Legion was good if you ignored the hot garbage that was AK and legendaries. If I played it casually - which I did towards the end - it was absolutely better than both WoD and BFA. But at the start I was Mythic raiding.
I liked both of those
Were you casually approaching it, or were you playing more for progression? That’s the big difference.
both?
Casual normal and heroic raiding with some mythic+ thrown in.
bfa was better even if it was kinda bad. Wod was pure thrash and the worst about it is the HUGE disapointment we had after the fun we had in Mop. We had expectations for wod it was just a really sad moment in the game.
So more casually, then. Legendaries were terrible from their design (even when you could just grind for them) and AK was bad if you played more than one spec.
Absolutely not!
Wod was waaaaaaaay worse!
I unsubbed early on I Wod cus I was sooooooooooo bored! I hated the Garrison and how You HAD to do it!
Yes BFA was not the best expansion far from it. But at least I made it through the whole way lol.
I loved Legion overall, but I did it opposite of you. I was casual at the beginning and then mythic raided from the middle to end. People complain about legendary acquisition, but I didn’t feel that as much since I wasn’t raiding at the beginning.
Had nice gear for the Mage Tower at the end though. ![]()
No, we cant.
WoD is the only expansion I quit on a month in.
Although BFA is by no means great (its 2nd in worst for me).
It is by no means worse than WoD.
Im certainly no mythic raider
Don’t have the will power to put myself through all that
Once they added Wakening Essences, it wasn’t bad - it was just boring. But the RNG nature was just horrendous early on, especially with the number of legendaries and how important some were for specs.
MT was great though. I just wish I had done it on more than just my Warrior. Legion overall was a great expansion, but until they, “fixed” their terrible design it felt bad to do anything seriously.
I don’t have the patience to do it anymore, nor the desire. From a casual standpoint a lot of WoW is better. Legion had some great storylines and things to do.
I absolutely believe that. And yeah, my main complaint about Legion was that everything you did was to have a chance! at getting something good. Grinding for chances doesn’t feel great.
WoD was when the mechanics from mobile games started becoming obvious. The questing and lore elements really just highlighted how the game was setup to just take a long time to do anything, regardless of the effort you put into it.
It didn’t even matter for me, as early on I get the BiS legendary for Havoc - which I was playing at the time. I just hated the idea that being unlucky was so punishing. Plus, I think I was finally at the point where Mythic raiding just wasn’t interesting to me, or even regularly raiding.
Though I’m in BWL right now in Classic, so…
I took it more casually and found it felt great
It was awesome having any and all content you do being able to give you something you desire.
It was a good motivation to do stuff each day and kept all content feeling relevant
I disagree personally. I prefer they release compelling content, and not rely on older content to convince people to do it with a carrot on a stick.
I did find it compelling content though
And the whole game is a carrot on a stick
